Sensabaugh holds nothing against the officials

Maybe you're still wondering how no one in a Cowboys uniform managed to tackle Brandon Jacobs after he took a pass in the flat and raced 74 yards for a touchdown.

Maybe you would like to blame the officials. Head coach Wade Phillips did Monday when he suggested one of his players was held on the game-changing play.

That player was safety Gerald Sensabaugh. Was he held?

"You can say the guy did a good job of blocking, I guess,'' Sensabaugh said.

"Look, I know officiating is hard. I'm not the type to complain about plays, about calls. I know how hard it is to ref a little league basketball game. That's hard enough. You're always going to get criticized.

"But that's a play that should have never happened. I'm not going to make any excuses. They played a good game and they beat us.''

What a stud. Great reply to that question. I'm going to make excuses, though. That was a clear hold on that play, no question about it at all.

Well...he doesn't want to get fined by the Komish...spelled with a K on purpose.

They were holding all night, surprised they didn't tackle Spencer on a few plays...

Good for him.

On that play I remember screaming "that's a ******* hold!" like many others, I'm sure. But Sensabaugh is right. That play should never have happened in the first place. Think about it. Jacobs winning a 70+ yard race to the endzone? Let's just say that that's not the kind of outcome I'd have wagered on.

So you were that echo I heard from somewhere out in the night? :laugh2:

Does it seem like when we make a Big game changing play it seems to always come back because of a penalty? When a BIG play is done against us and a penalty should be called the refs let the play continue. I could be wrong, just seems like it.

What I cannot understand is how freaking Jacobs can outrun our entire defense in a 75 yard dash.

Sensenbaugh was held and it should have been called, but what about the other 10 guys on defense???

This defense is garbage.

Bradie James is the biggest bum on the defense. Talkin all that trash before the game and he got SMOKED by Jacobs. Check the replay. He's on my hate list now. Roy Williams has company now.

Bradie James is one of the least athletic linebackers in the league, we could cut him tommorow and never miss a beat. Just plug another JAG into his position.

I agree....the guy is having the most non-descript season imaginable. Does he ever make a game-changing play? Does he make any plays?

Not like Bradie was our leading tackler last year along with 8 sacks. I like how our defense is unstoppable for a month then we play one bad game on D and everybody is just a guy. Should we cut Ware now too?

Holding goes either way. Both teams were doing it. Just like PI calls. I don't care if the refs don't call it. Just call the game like that on BOTH SIDES.

Great, great response by Sense.

That Jacobs play was frustrating on so many levels. Most annoying was the hold on Sensabaugh that was clear as day. If that gets called the ball is close to mid-field and who knows what happens.

Weren't there people here claiming he was shafted out of the Pro Bowl not long ago?

Your point is??? He did have a very good year last year, but he has been invisible this season.
