What I cannot understand is how freaking Jacobs can outrun our entire defense in a 75 yard dash.

It's not the 1st time a slow RB has done it.

See Willis McGahee and Laron McClain from last year.

Will it be the last?

I agree....the guy is having the most non-descript season imaginable. Does he ever make a game-changing play? Does he make any plays?

NEVER! All he does is talk....Oh I how I wish we had someone like Ken Norton that can stand on the goal line and keep a running back out of the end zone...

Not like Bradie was our leading tackler last year along with 8 sacks. I like how our defense is unstoppable for a month then we play one bad game on D and everybody is just a guy. Should we cut Ware now too?

Defend everything Cowboy related are we? Maybe if he didn't run his fat trap he wouldn't be getting jumped on right now. Ware wasn't popping off before the game. If you are going to talk, play ball.

I'm impressed!

He was a very good acquisition.

Uh, he WAS held by the way. But that's in the past.

Maybe you're still wondering how no one in a Cowboys uniform managed to tackle Brandon Jacobs after he took a pass in the flat and raced 74 yards for a touchdown.

Maybe you would like to blame the officials. Head coach Wade Phillips did Monday when he suggested one of his players was held on the game-changing play.

That player was safety Gerald Sensabaugh. Was he held?

"You can say the guy did a good job of blocking, I guess,'' Sensabaugh said.

"Look, I know officiating is hard. I'm not the type to complain about plays, about calls. I know how hard it is to ref a little league basketball game. That's hard enough. You're always going to get criticized.

"But that's a play that should have never happened. I'm not going to make any excuses. They played a good game and they beat us.''

i'm liking him more and more as i see him play, then hear him present his own mindset.

Sensabaugh should hold something against him self for running with the wr when they have the ball instead of trying to tackle them.

What does Dallas have to do to get a GOOD safety on this team again?

i consider sensabaugh good and think we're lucky to have him.

how about we ask "what does ANY team have to do to get a good safety out there? it's not like dallas is the only one w/o an Ed Reed or the like. the fact is the gamechangers are few and far between.

but we're always mad cause we don't have them ALL here in dallas.

uhhh. I want a safety that wants to hit. Not run along side a wr hoping to angle him out of bounds.

Plus I was referring to the fact that we had Roy and Woodson. Woodson left, we think roy has the position covered. He starts to suck, but Hamlin looked good the first year. Then he starts to suck. Its a never ending cycle

He took the high road, and I respect that....I don't have to and he was blatently held on that play.

I'll take Arizona's safties please. They can cover and hit.
As for Sensabaugh...I like him! But we could add to that position in general.

The exposed shoulder pad alone is incriminating.

It's always alarming when the players show more leadership than the head coach.

Sens almost knocked him out of bounds WITH the hold...he'd have easily pushed Jacobs out :(

Are you completely blind or just overmedicated? Could you not see that the TE had Sensabaugh in a death grip and was bodying him out of the play?

Spencer actually helped knock Brooking out of the play by shoving Boss into him before finally chasing after Jacobs in the flat. But "credit" goes to Bradie James for taking that horrific angle and literally shielding Jacobs just as Spencer finally caught up to the oversized big mouthed tippy toer.

How slow is James? Sensabaugh was running backwards w/a TE all over him and still was running faster than James. :D

Spencer even lapped James to catch Jacobs at the pylon. :laugh2:

If James just dives at Jacobs' heels, before or even during Sensabaugh's tackle attempt, Jacobs is likely slowed enough for Spencer to make the TD saving tackle.

Uh this whole thread is dedicated to THAT play. The article quoting Sensabaugh is in reference to the Jacobs catch and run for the TD.
