watch us take a couple of NT's in the draft. I agree, major smoke screen. Those 2 guys are camp fodder.

More great stuff from Archer.

I'm actually optimistic that Siavii and/or Anderson can do the job as the backup NT. The way I see it, you have a pro-bowler at that position already, and despite all of the talk about moving Ratliff somewhere else, I like him exactly where he is...

So what you need is a guy who can be a solid run-stuffer that gives Ratliff a breather and helps you in obvious run situations. And remember, this guy is replacing Tank Johnson. Don't underestimate that last part; Tank Johnson was awful last year.

Tim Anderson is a try-hard plugger who had a couple of good moments for the Bills a while back until they changed their scheme some. Siavii is a former first day pick who has all kinds of size and strength. Either guy can do that job. I really do believe that.

Sorry, not buying it. If we fix the running game and play good solid defense, we can win in any condition.

yeah but you have to be conditioned in the running game touch and physical, remember the cowboys offensive linemen tired out in the playoff game against the giants.

unless the OTAs is alot more physical and training camp to get the players geared up to play tough and physical, you can forget a good running game and solid defense. And you dont get that with no hitting in training camp the first 25 days of training camp.

Now with the cowboys not scrimmaging with anyone this year during training camp, im afraid its going to be another camp cupcake.

You know, my friend, that is a proven formula. Why some people are unable to understand it is beyond me.

This makes me very nervous. Very nervous.

Not me. Can't be any worse than that scab POS, Tank Johnson.

I agree with you here.

I think Wade likes Siavii. He was one of the last cuts last season.

I'm guessing that they went with Tank because they thought he had a better chance of producing (i.e., like he did with the Bears).

On a side note, I was kind of hoping we'd get one more Secondary player in FA before the Draft - esp at CB if Ball is going to playing more Safety.

But maybe that's it for another month . . . .

The only players I really like in our Secondary include

at CB,
Newman
Scandrick
Jenkins

at Safety,
Hamlin
Sensabaugh
and I guess Ball, though I haven't really seen much of him.

That's only 6 players. If we go with 9-10 guys in the Secondary in total, we're talking about picking up 2-3 guys in the Draft (and hoping they pan out), and/or keeping Watkins/Battle.
