Cowboys linebacker Anthony Spencer returned home without his helmet. It was on the top shelf of Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards' locker. Spencer and Edwards, who had three sacks, were teammates at Purdue.

``That belonged to Anthony Spencer,'' Edwards told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. ``He gave it to me after the game. We just met on the field after the game and Anthony said, `You beat us, here's your trophy.''

I like it. Would have been better if Spencer had Edwards helmet though.

Good stuff, I'm starting to like Anthony Spencer more and more.

Marc Colombo should have given him his helmet too. Ray Edwards is a solid player, can't believe he was only a 4th rounder.

Its funny how before the game the person I was concerned about was Edwards on Colombo. Something had to be wrong with Colombo he has shut down a lot better players then Edwards, thats for sure.

Yeah I think the rust finally got to Colombo. He was able to get away with it against the Eagles b/c they don't really have a great 1 on 1 pass rusher on that side but against Edwards and Brian Robison, he was getting cooked out there.

Edwards was definitely the overlooked guy IMO. I heard a lot about Allen and the Williams guys inside, but little about Edwards. His speed rush gave Colombo problems all day long.

Colombo should have never been put out there. He definitely wasn't right.

LOL...Spencer did that because the Vikings treated that game as their SB and Spencer knows they won't win it all, so he gave them a "trophy".

Too bad we didn't want it as bad.

How good was Purdue's pass rush when they threw Ray Edwards, Shaun Phillips, and Anthony Spencer at people???

That's good sportsmanship.

I'm not sure if anyone else saw it, but Flozell was manhandling Jared Allen until he got hurt.

Not taking anything away from Edwards, but Columbo was SO slow getting off the snap that I'm impressed there were only 3 sacks from Edwards. I wondered if Free would have been better.

Or maybe Edwards is just that good, I dunno.

Appearently not, most of the posts around hear were bashing Flozell all day as if he played RT. Thank god Free is ready and waiting. His footwork is light years ahead of Columbos. When he came in for Flozell, he was running across the backfield trying to hit people who missed Romo on their first pass. Columbo was ole'ing and then throwing his hands up. He was horrendous.

As much as I like the good sportsmanship by Spencer I wish he would have showed it in a different way. A Dallas Cowboy helmet hanging on the shelf of some opposing player like some kind of hunting trophy makes me uneasy.

Absolutely.

He actually reminds me of Shawn Merriman before the injuries, minus the steroids.

Also he is better in Coverage than Merriman ever was.

The guy is just nasty.

Had Flo not gotten hurt I believe Free would have replaced Columbo.

I have the same uneasy feeling for the same reason.
