DMN Blog: T.O. fires back at Keyshawn (vid added)

Skip will somehow use this as his proof Team Obliterator is in the house.

Then he and Key can have some fun together at their pity party.

I saw Keyshwan ranting about T.O. needs to shut up about Bill Parcells, how Parcells built this team and it would always be his team, he needs to let it go, blah blah blah...

This was immediately after Ed Werder interviewed T.O. and asked him about 5 questions about Bill Parcells.

Hey Keyshwan, if you want T.O. to stop talking about T.O. then tell your co-workers to stop asking him about T.O.

And people don't see that this is an indirect insult at Wade Phillips, which it seems only T.O. realizes. T.O. made it clear that Wade deserves a lot of credit for the team.

People forget that this team also added Leonard Davis, which was a huge addition to our line without Parcells, and Jerry added Garrett, who added another dimension to this puzzle. These are key elements in our record as it stands.

This is a joke... ESPN still can't give credit to where it is properly due... Dallas was being proclaimed as over-rated, and now that one can't argue against Dallas being a good team, all of the sudden, this team is great because of Parcells...

Key couldn't even stick to a Carolina roster with zero receivers aside from Steve Smith.

I think TO gives him too much credit. He wasn't that great to begin with, and after all this time on the couch he wouldn't even be a third or fourth receiver here, especially if Glenn ever plays again.
I wouldnt use that as evidence because the Carolina staff are a bunch of idiots. starting from GM marty hurney down to coach John Fox

I have no problem with TO responding to Key. It is surprising Key does not mention much how Mike used to call him out when he played in Dallas. Now he is doing the same thing with TO  Seriously to run the table with big mouth WRs, TO needs to retire and get a TV job. We then sign Chad Johnson so TO can bash him :p:

TO has made a few comments that have not set to well with me. He is always referring to himself when there are questions about the team. He always says JG and Wade use him like they should, a playmaker. He can never just give thanks or show appreciation without patting himself on the back.

As chain movers

Mike >> Key
TO >> Key
Crayton > Key

As game breakers

Mike >>> Key
TO >>>> Key
Key > Crayton

TO has been getting props from most of the media groups because TO has been acting very mature and saying all the right things. No reason to lose positive image which took time and effort, over one person.

I think a response like "Key who?" would have been enough, this would show TO taking a higher road (maturity) and diminishs Key's stature, imo.
I don't know. I really don't think there'll be that much, if any, backlash. I saw the segment w/T.O. on ESPN and I saw the responses afterward. I didn't think what Key said was all that bad and I didn't think what T.O. said was bad either.

But I do know that Key has been ripping T.O. a new one for a year and a half and T.O's response was long overdue. I doubt this will have any effect in the lockerroom other than some "Here! Here!"

OK, there are 31 other teams who could have given him a job. Idiots or not, they probably got that decision right.

That is the real funny part ....

Key said "who is mike to be calling me out? I am still playing"

then he does the exact same thing 3 years later :lmao2:

Didn't Keyshawn in an interview with Irvin, say that he was better than Irvin...

Michael had a big smile on his face and looked like he was about to bust out laughing...

When most questions (during the post game conference) are directed at how the team preformed, TO has been very good at giving everyone else credit, OL, TE, QB, RBs, ST, and the D.

Also, we shouldn't expect TO to become a drastically different person than what he has been the past. He still loves himself, likes the spot light, and wants to get the ball. At least he has learned to become more of a team player and gives prop to everybody else on the team. of course he will give himself some props as well. He is still TO.

The problem is reporters keep asking him what the difference is between this year and last year, in how he is being utilized. Or what is the biggest difference in his role in this offense compared to last year? etc.....
There really isn't any other way to answer these types of questions without talking about how this year they move him around to create mismatches, and which allows him to create plays after the catch. Which is really the truth. But when he says it though, it is interpreted as a jab at BP.

Watching Key go off on Owens about the Parcells thing had me scratching my head. If I recall correctly, Owens only mentioned Parcells when Werder specifically mentioned him, yet Johnson went on and on about how TO needs to "let it go"! I truly think Key wishes he was still playing (anywhere!) and he reeks of jealously, especially witnessing Dallas' success with Romo, TO and Phillips leading the way!

The difference is, ;) if TO were to retire, Mike would still have a job, Key on the other hand?

Thats what makes TO , TO - he may run off sometimes but he says it how it is. And we cant deny him this time - he's right !!

Long may he be a Cowboy !!
I couldn't agree more!.

Last thing I want to hear, personally, is seeing TO getting 'unleashed'...We don't want to see him suffer from a smack attack and suddenly find a guy whose been quiet in the media start to get too comfortable in front of the mic and with the smack talk...That typically and historically leads down a very uncomfortable road

Meshawn Johnson BLOWS !!!! He is over hyped ( by himself ) and wasn't nowhere near as he boasts. he was an OK NFL receiver. End of story, He does have a bigger mouth and a avenue to spread he CRAP, Why would they get rid of Mike for this clown is beyond me?

I can't really agree with Key > Crayton. Crayton's had quite a few big catches, including several long TD's.

Poor Keyshawn....

Round 1 - Irvin tells him he is not a #1

Round 2 - TO: we came out at the same time... do the numbers

Down goes Key-shawn... down goes Key-shawn....
Ladies and Gentlemen... as far as fights go.... those fights were both mismatches.... totally outclassed

What stood out to me the most in this is that TO is vehimetly behind Wade. He seems to talk Wade up all the time. He is always giving Wade credit. I bet if someone was critical of Wade he would be the first to step up and defend him. I think TO has found a coach he actually loves....

That's cool. Different opinions make the world go around. IMO you can not discount Key's numbers and years of service. For not being the fastest player, he was able to draw double coverage and was a #1 WR on a few teams. At this time, Crayton can not make the same statement.
