I am afraid they didnt get that right. There were several reported teams interested in Keyshawn including Oakland, Green Bay, Tennessee, and KC. Say what you want about Key but he was a solid number two who lacked everything but speed. Talent wise, he is everything we are hoping Crayton turns out to be. How could that have been a bad decision in Carolina when the two guys who replaced him Drew Carter and Keary Colbert dont have as many receptions COMBINED as Key did last season. Also, Key's "replacement" Dwayne Jarrett has not only been inactive for most of the season, but has only six catches on the year, no injuries at all. If you can't beat out Carter and Colbert, you suck bigtime.

that akin to saying that someone is an excellent musician but just lacks rhythm.

I guess I should have said "elite speed". People sometime forget that 4.6 is pretty fast for the average human being. I doubt the majority of this board can run that fast.

Not neccessarily! Key was a damn good possession reciever. He just wasn't an elite reciever as he seems to think he was.

Uh, they haven't had a consistent QB for what now? They are shuffling between Vinny Testaverde and Carr...

Carter and Colbert have had consistent suckage with Jake throwing at them too. Ask any Panthers fan.

100% correct. Look at what has happened to Steve Smith, perhaps the most explosive WR in the league, when given the chance.

I like Keyshawn the player but when he starts running his mouth he really angers me.

Im glad TO put him in his place. Keyshawn needs to know his roll. All he was was a great roll player.

Plus TO is telling the truth. Parcells didn't want to use him for some reason. We acted like he wasn't on the field.

Plus we're playing to win now instead of playing not to lose.

Parcells is my boy but TO hit the nail on the head with this one.

When did Jake go out? How can you compare this year to last year when Jake has had only a handful of games in his pocket this year... And even when he played, he was playing part of the time injured...

there has been no chance for any continuity on that team to weigh the receiving performance of this year with Key last year...

Drew Carter has as many TDs as Johnson in 34 less catches, and has a higher Y/R than Keyshawn last year... they are close to Keyshawns totaly receptions for last year, and they have 3 games left to play...

but no doubt, your right... Keyshawn is a talented receiver, but a 2nd receiver at best... he is a guy that can move the chains, which he did here... but he is no T.O...

See, I wish somebody like AdamJT or somebody good with stats would clear this up for myself.

I just don't know if I buy into the belief that Parcells didn't not want to use Terrell Owens.

I do believe he didn't cater to Terrell Owens and go out of his way to get him involved when teams were double and tripple teaming him like this coaching staff seems to do.

Terrell Owens had a very good year last season.

Maybe Parcells couldn't put it together like Wade has this year(12-1 speaks for it self), BUT Parcells did build this team to what it is today that's a fact.

T.O. vs. Keyshawn

Tim MacMahon E-mail News tips

Let me begin by thanking Albert "Einstein" Breer for stooping to my sensationalistic level while I was tied up with boring corporate stuff today. T.O. lashing out at Keyshawn Johnson is pure blog gold!!

T.O. suggested that somebody compare his stats to Keyshawn's, and I'm always willing to fan the flames when the Original 81 starts flapping his gums. Follow the jump for indisputable statistical evidence that hatin' Keyshawn couldn't hold T.O.'s jock with two hands.

CAREER STATS

T.O. -- 875 catches for 12,985 yards (14.8 ypc) and 128 TDs in 171 games

Keyshawn -- 814 catches for 10,571 (13.0 ypc) and 64 TDs in 167 games

PLAYOFF STATS

T.O. -- 50 catches for 702 yards and four TDs in 10 games

Keyshawn -- 39 catches for 569 yards and two TDs in seven games

STATS AS COWBOY

T.O. -- 159 catches for 2,450 yards and 27 TDs in 29 games

Keyshawn -- 141 catches for 1,820 yards and 12 TDs in 32 games

Terrell Owens had a very good year last season.

You can throw all the stats out there you want but TO can show up and put up good numbers.

He has a better in between game this year and is a down field threat.

I actually feel like we have TO on our team this year and not an old ageing superstar.

Sorry but thats just my opinion.

Don't remember the article, but I don't think it's about catering to T.O., I think the primary difference is how T.O. is moved around versus being on one side, making it easier for teams to take T.O. out of the game.

He had an ok last year, but I wasn't impressed, even with 14 TD. But this year I believe we are seeing the "Popcorn" TO, he promised last year.

All I have to say is, good for Owens. I'm tired of Key's hate-filled screeds on Fuax. He's seriously envious, and that's transparent every time he critiques TO.

Shocked it took T.O. this long to respond. I used to think KJ was a pretty smart guy, and Owens not so much. I've changed my mind about that the more I hear them both ...

That is a fact but BP refused to take off the training wheels.

BP played not to lose. You think we would see this kind of offense this year under BP? NO. We would be back to trying to win games 13-14.

Parcells is a football legend. Hes the man. But he would never adjust.

Hes famous for saying he only knows how to coach 1 way. Thats the type of ball you were going to get no matter what.

Parcells can still buy groceries with the best of them. His cooking methods though are a little out of date.

Well, he had Terry Glenn on the field as well and Bledsoe was the QB in some of those games.

I understand the argument that claims Parcells' offense wasn't conducive to Terrell Owens' skill set.

I just don't think that equates to Parcells not wanting to use him.
