T.O.: Jerry Jones broke his word

T.O. tells Fanhouse's Cavlin "Lucky" Watkins he was "more than 100 percent confident" he'd be a Cowboy after two off-season assurances from Jerry Jones.
"I'd say it hurt," T.O. said. "I was very disappointed, especially when you established a lot of trust gained for three years that I was there, and when somebody blatantly tells you you're not going anywhere on two different occasions, and you've established that bond. If you don't have a man's word, and it doesn't stand for anything, there's really nothing left and there's not a whole lot of trust."
While Lucky was chatting with T.O., Jerry was chatting with the Standridge Stadium media horde. He went off on a pretty good ramble when the subject turned to T.O.'s Tony Romo/Jason Garrett theory.
"I know how the decision was made, and the very people he's mentioning might not know, because I had to ultimately put all the rationale that I had together and make the decision," Jerry said. "All I'm saying is, if he or anybody else mention people it could be news to them. That's how the decision came about."
We didn't get a chance to ask Jerry about T.O.'s claim of a couple assurances. But Jerry is hear about it soon, since he admits that he carefully keeps up with all the T.O. coverage.
"I do that because I have a good relationship with him," Jerry said. "I do and I know .. .I"m very confident that we've communicated well. So the answer is yes. When you say pay attention, I certainly look at it. He's credible with me."
