And I would say those who are put off most by the Owens threads NOW seem to be those who were fans of his when he was here. Primarily I believe because the threads that are posted about him now are all going to be a indirect reaffirmation of the the fact that he's no longer here. Reasons which most Owens supporters either claimed were made up by media or fans.

It's funny how the same thing keeps happening to this guy in his career, but he's never responsible. Goes to team, has lovefest initially, then he becomes disruptive, then he's released, then he was unwittingly betrayed.

This story talks about how as far as Owens is concerned, Jerry lied. As many have pointed out already, he didn't keep his end of the bargain either. What's overlooked here but was talked about on these boards months ago was the fact Owens felt the need to be reassured in the first place. Now I wonder why that is if he had been the model teammate?

 Nevermind the fact that some would possibly prefer to not dwell in the past and move forward. What's more important to you? Reporting on TO's every breath or winning a playoff game or two (or three)?

You and many others are right behind me. Hello Pot.

Lame and WRONG. PROVE that statement. I've NEVER whined about the whining. To each his own. You just can't let #81 go no matter how many times you tell yourself you're over it. Sad, really.

I hated him when he played for SF and am DAMN glad he's gone. Over-joyed actually. Happier than a pig in mud. Dancing in the streets.

The issue in question here are the whiners about the whining concerning #81. You sir, are the first clown out of the car.

Nice spin attempt tho...........

Prove that I have whined in every TO thread. Lay it out bozo.

You were an original "hater" while he was here and so your whining was done during the time he wore a Cowboys uni...

I can just see Jerry telling him that in his raspy voice and then smiling and winking.

Ya see, Terrell, when someone tells you something and then winks, it means they're just joking.

 Can I have the minute back that I took to read that garbage?

So I'll simply drop any leveraging of your descriptive illustration and go back to the point at hand.

Complaining about the fact that there is ONE thread about TO on the fan page, really, is beyond ridiculous. And to suggest it somehow is keeping fans from more stimulating discussions of course has no validity to it.

An adult would simply click one of the other 26 available threads on the front page or start a better thread of their own.

I'll be kind and just leave it at that.

Whining about the whining. Do try and keep up. Stay focused on the topic.

Gee............whatever gave you that idea?

And yes, I whined 'til the cows came home. I, unlike yourself, never indulged in the #81 jock-ride express. Actually, I think this divorce is becoming unhealthy for you. Denial can be an ugly thing.

However, I did NOT and do NOT whine about the amount of #81 threads and then continue to contribute to them by posting in them.

Try again mensa. They multiply daily. How many do you currently see?

Please spare me the "kindness". This isn't my first rodeo.

Yes. You don't have to tell me. I know you were one of the whiny haters. As I stated earlier, Hello pot.

About you not currently whining because the thorn in your side is no longer here.. I have a little present for you.

Eye roll? Personally if they didn't report anything else about him I'd be fine with that. But I said "those who are put off most..." are usually his most ardent supporters when he was here. For them, it's kind of like rubbing their face in the fact that the majority of the board and the media were right.

After all, the easiest solution would be to just not post rather than chide everyone else for their comments.

Also, it's June and it's a message board as another poster mentioned. But most of all, maybe if Owens would just shut up, something that he STILL hasn't learned how to do and which bought his ticket out of town, the media would have nothing to report and there would be no posts.

It'll never happen. Not only because TO likes to run his mouth... also because the media counts on him to do so. Bush league journalism...

The problem with this post amigo, is it makes too damned much sense.

How dare there be TO threads in the NFL Zone. Damn the media for reporting about him.

How dare there be more than one. Damn the media. Damn them I say.

Why can't someone simply go find an NFL story and post some NFL stories there to push the TO stories down the page? It isn't like that forum is a hotbed of activity like the Fan Zone.

It isn't even hard to find NFL news.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl

http://www.nfl.com/home

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl

http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/3032875

I believe posting those 5 links took me a grand total of 30 seconds, and they aren't all of the NFL links by any wild stretch of the imagination.

If these guys have to have the TO threads gone, push them off the page with other threads. Instead they respond in every TO thread telling everyone to get over it and move along. They bump the TO threads over and over with complaints. We had some that were hours dead bumped to complain again. I finally had to close one of them to keep fragile feelings from erupting into a drama queen festival.

It's real simple. If they really wanted to discuss something other than Terrell Eldorado Owens, they would. Notice that they don't, but they try and turn it back on guys who are glad he is gone like me. Well, it's just too damned sad that I'll discuss whatever I want and don't consider them to be an animated grasshopper on my shoulder.

Don't like it, don't read it and for heaven's sake don't reply and keep it alive.

Like I said, it's just too simple.

Yeah Hos. I'm sure it was killing you to not jump into a discussion between me and someone else on the whole TO thread deal.

As both of you will notice by a simple search of all forums... I discuss plenty of other things on this board. That still doesn't change the fact that the continuing TO threads are lame.

Just to clear up another misconception amongst those that once hated but are now reveling in the beauty of watching the Buffalo Bill breathe, I never once said I liked TO. I always had an appreciation for his skill and the fact that he kept his nose clean. He just went out and played ball. To this day, I don't particularly like him but I do appreciate what he brought to the table between the hashmarks while wearing my favorite uniform. Now that he isn't around, I don't care to hear about him or see the same page I often visit littered with threads about him. That's personal preference and I will be just fine if every thread was about TO. I'll still exercise what little freedom of choice you have on a message board. This all just makes me wonder if we're focused on looking forward or if we're still looking for excuses to utilize for 2009...

No, it wasn't killing me. As I said, his post makes too much sense. It's like politics for me. I hate it so I rarely even go there to read. Now and then I will speak up, but it's rare and I know everyone who loves that forum is smarter about politics than I am. I don't seem to post in Hockey threads even though I love Hockey. I rarely post in the NBA threads. I avoided the soccer thread for whatever championship that was. I didn't even browse it for infractions.

You discuss other stuff? Damned if I've noticed. But let there be a TO thread and drama through the roof. People talk about what interests them and you are interested in TO threads more than any other topic. Mostly I think you're still trying to spit out the crow you had to eat for the crap you spewed out at everyone who dared to opine that he might be gone in 2009.

You didn't need to defend what you like about TO, but thank you for explaining the absolutely obvious.

I think the vast majority of us are looking forward, we just do it in a way that rubs you the wrong way. To use your own advice, get over it.

Killing me to respond? Not a bit, but I do respond because I honestly don't care that it upsets you so much. In fact, true to my nature I enjoy the heck out of laughing at this stuff.

Can't wait to see ya in the next TO thread whining about the exact same stuff.

It's funny how I always get challenged by one particular mod when exercising my right to dislike TO threads. You probably know my IP, how many times I hit the site daily, what color underwear I'm wearing, When I last picked my nose, and where I like to rest my head for the night. Splendid!
