Maybe now with out the center of attention WR he will be.
Well, if that's the case, it's too bad he had to wait and not stand up when the team needed leadership most.

But I guess we'll just have to wait and see

Exactly!!!

Newman was flat out raped by a rookie in the last game of the season and he is now talking crap about Romo's performance???

Hey TNEW, shut the hell up and learn how to cover a rookie before pointing fingers at others. We used to have a safety that would point fingers and unless you want to end up like he did, then shut the hell up!!!

2 catches...46 yds

one lousy post

Yup. Standing up against 81 has proven to be such a great idea in the past.
let's see, the guy who sign's your pay check and contract is sticking up at all costs to the guy you should stand up to. Wise choice by Romo if you ask me.

But you are right, we shall see, now.

Newman's reply: "I think that with the situation Tony was in,

I think that kind of maybe hurt him a little bit - being a first-year starter, then you have the limelight with his girlfriend and situations of that nature. It's going to take away from him being a quarterback, being a successful quarterback. He won 13 games and everything was perfect, but now after this past season, it was, 'Is he doing enough for the team? Is he working hard enough? You know, he's got this girlfriend, so ...' I think that once he inherited the starting quarterback job and his relationship got into the national media attention, I think that that was something that definitely hurt and took away from Tony Romo being a great quarterback."

You need to stop thinking. Either you know it or you don't. We know you should shut it and get in line behind the team leader or hit the trails. We expect more from a Vet and you're acting like a child Terrence. You wanna call out the QB? Do it in person like a man. Take it to the coaches, take it to the captains but leave the mediots out of it. Did you not learn anything from TO getting thrown off three teams???

I like what Newman brings as a player but this soap opera stuff is for the weak minded losers of the world. Maybe we should trade our shut down corner and anyone else that mouths off. I bet he can get us a 1st and a third right now. I'm sick of this crap...:mad::mad:

Romo is definitely blowing it. He has a chance to be a great one but he prefers to chase other things...to each his own I guess.

What are these 'other things'?

I remember when I liked Terrance Newman. Of course, I also remember when Terrance Newman was able to play more than 8 games a season......ah good times, good times.

When his cap number is reasonable, cut him too Jerry. He'll be old and worthless by then.

If you read it correctly, it seems to be saying that only after this past season where the team didn't come up to expectations that the questions about his relationship "took away" from his being veiwed as a great QB.

I'm all for him being with her....who frickin' cares? Nobody but the media and every fan that wants to blame someone for something.

One lousy response.

Yardage doesnt tell the whole story, you have to look at the entire game, not just read the box-score.

It was neither... its him. TO helped take the pressure of him for sucking in the clutch , now this team will need a new scapegoat. Romo will be a poor mans Marc Bulger when its all said and done.

terrell helped him by taking off presure in clutch situations? :lmao2:because terrell always caught those 4th down and 3 wide open catches didn't he?

Romo's secretly devised play to Witten against the Steelers is stolen from napkin by Dick Lebeau's hotel maids...

Anyone dumb enough to think a wife and kids don't distract players every bit as much as a girlfriend is dumber than a box of rocks.

All players should be castrated hermits who are addicted to football 24/7.
Exactly, and not just any woman, but a diva like Jessica Simpson. This girl demands the center of attention. She is the classic "high maintenance" relationship.

I have to admit that I liked the idea of the quarterback of America's Team being in the limelight and dating a beautiful if not pretentious celebrity. Clearly this might have been short term popularity boost but a negative effect on Romo's work ethic.

Again, many will argue that what Romo chooses to do off the field is his own business. I agree. But to argue that it doesn't affect football is silly.
