Terrell Owens was in Southlake this afternoon to autograph copies of his new book, T.O's Finding Fitness. Outside of a guy wearing a Lito Sheppard jersey and Philadelphia Eagles-branded tennis shoes and some strange woman yelling at him to "get out of here, this is Cowboys territory," I'd say the book signing went off without a hitch.
The book is all about Owens' workouts, diet and lifestyle that has helped him get in tremendous shape. His co-author Courtney Parker and book editor Sydny Miner both said the same thing about this project. This is exactly how Owens does it -- mind, body and soul.
"For kids who have that desire to be the next T.O., this is pretty much the inside look at what I've done over the course of my 13 years in the league," Owens said. "This is no ploy for me to make money. Some people go get in shape, take a photo and do a book. This is something that I've been doing for 10 to 13 years."

Here's my biggest question: if I read this book and do what it says, will I look just like Owens did running on the beach on the opening shots of HBO's Hard Knocks?
"I'll tell you what, you put in the work and if you're disciplined with what's in the book, then you'll definitely be on your way," Owens said.
"It's not going to be an overnight success," he added. "It's not going to happen if you do what I do in about a week's time and -- voila! -- you'll look how I look. This is what I've been doing basically for 10 years in my career. It's my job, but at the same time, I know what my job entails. I know to be the top of my position or be at the top of my game, I have to put in the necessary work to allow those things to happen. That comes with working out, resting, eating right, being disciplined with your workouts and disciplined with your eating habits. All those things factor into what I've done here in Dallas and what I've done in my career."
If you didn't get to Costco in Southlake today, you still have plenty of chances next week.
Owens will autograph copies of his new book T.O.'s Finding Fitness at 6 p.m. Monday at Wal-Mart located at 915 E. Randol Mill Road in Arlington.
He will also sign books from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at Barnes & Noble located across from NorthPark Center at 7700 W. Northwest Highway.
