Listened to Campo on KTCK the other day talk pretty frankly about Roy. He basically said Roy's was a good player right away, but "being a good player prevented him from becoming a great player" because he stop paying attention to details and fundamentals and stopped trying to get better. He's basically starting from scratch with him trying to get him lined up and positioned right (which seems like rookie camp stuff to me). He also said that Roy lost his confidence and the criticism got inside his head.
