Romo just has to keep working at the slants. he struggles throwing slants to above average wrs like Owens and Wi11iams

There were times last year when Romo couldnt hit TO in stride to save his life.

Unlike Trent Edwards.

Yeah Romo is 63.6% as a starting QB I don't think he has that hard of a time hitting his WR in stride.

I agree. He will sit there glorifying a QB like Brady Quinn while ragging on Tony Romo? Get real :laugh2:

I remember once last season when Romo hit Owens dead in the hands on a quick slant while he was in perfect stride and wasn't jammed at the line, but he dropped the ball anyway. Que sera sera.

Im not glorifying the next QB to win a playoff game for the Browns. I just hope he can hit Roy in stride during game time. I HATED watching at least once every game Tony underthrow TO on the slant.

Almost looked worse than McFlabb throwing 5 yards behind and 5 yards short to some of his wr's.

I remember more balls thrown behind him than him dropping them in stride on the slant.

Im not bashing Tony, but he can hit a 4.65 WR in stride easily or his 4.6 tightend. He just has problems with the speed guys. I dont consider Roy a speed guy but even Kitna pointed out his long stride is decieving.

So, did you equally hate whenever Owens dropped at least one of Romo's passes every game?

I hated seeing TO drop the ball. Fact is Romo has not had a major issue with missing his WR, guys with the high percentage of completion are not having big issues hitting their targets. Will every pass be dead on the money? Of course not but by and large this is not a problem Romo has. I guess if you are looking for something to complain about you can find anything

I did.

But in my eyes his big play potential made up for it. As long as he was up on the ratio , I was ok. I am not ok however with a game changing interception (Deshea Townsend), throws into triple coverage (Ed Reed) and a severe case of fumblitis in every game.

Hope that changes this year with the scapegoat being gone. Or is he still here?

Nitpicking.

A bad throw is a bad throw.

A dropped pass is a dropped pass.

You are bashing Romo.

Every quarterback's throw isn't perfect to any receiver regardless of their speed, height, etc. Romo's critics can truthfully present examples of some of his passes being off-target and others can honestly present more examples of his passes being off-target. In fact, many of the latter would involve Owens.

However, Kitna is a better judge than both of us.

But Romo's big play potential doesn't?

Got it.

Please elaborate and bestow wisdom upon me.....

You are still upset that we passed on your creepy QB crush object because we already had a real QB in place.

You were also a Owens fan ...... so that put a fresh coat of sore on your tender hole.

You constantly bad mouth and point out any negative play that Tony makes while ignoring your heroes inadequacies and the fact that Romo Wins twice as many games as he losses.

It does, but more than not that big play the past 3 years has been to TO.

Sure a nice throw down the seam to Crayton or Witten is nice and his mobility can buy him more him more time, but what remains to be seen is if that 2009 pocket improvisation will lead to improved ball security.

As you've correctly stated, Owens' strength as a wide receiver has been his ability to convert an ordinary play into a game changing one. So, let's consider your logic based on this fact:

It was okay with you whenever Owens dropped a pass from Romo which he could have made into a big play, BUT it's not okay with you when some of Romo's passes were not 'catchable'.

Incredible.

"Scapegoat". That's original.
