Scared money don't make money.

It is more prudent to heed the wise man's rebuke than to rejoice in the revelie and song of fools.

Getting a small back like Felix hurt running kickoffs back to get a few more yards per return and the hope of him breaking one doesn't correlate well with the risk of losing a big part of the Dallas offense if he goes down. For a couple of weeks we should get by with others until Austin comes back or a scrub proves reliable in hanging on the the ball and getting 20+ yards a return.

I think Felix is more than a third-down back, but definitely think he's a long-term scat back, gadget type guy for us. Thus making him more expendable on returns.

If he ever developed into a 20-carry-a-game starter for us, well then, obviously we wouldn't want him returning kicks. But now? Yes, there's a risk, but I don't think Felix is at the level you hold him out of situations for the fear he'll get hurt.

Adrian Peterson returned kicks against Dallas last year. He is lightyears better than Felix will ever be as a running back. If Wade likes my advice he will put Felix as a kick returner.
