Wade Phillips will grant Adam 'Pacman' Jones' wish

Wade Phillips said that Adam "Pacman" Jones and Felix Jones would probably be the Cowboys' primary kickoff returners in Sunday's season opener.

"It may not be both of them on the field," Phillips said. "It may be one at a time, but hopefully there aren't too many of those [kickoff returns]."

Isaiah Stanback, who appeared to be seizing the kickoff return role before dislocating his shoulder, is expected to play in Cleveland. However, the plan is to limit Stanback's role to the No. 3 WR.

Really. I want to see more of Pacman on the punt return than the kick return. If we see him on the KR alot this weekend LOL that is not good for the defense.

I thought he was named starter.

So he gets one kickoff...big deal. How many punt returns will he get?

Most sane people knew this would happen in the real games. Only a few that were looking for reasons to bash Wade didnt believe it

Well, maybe injury has actually helped the Cowboys in this instance. The Jones boys will certainly strike more fear in the hearts of the Browns than Stanback/Austin.

I knew Felix would be returning kicks, I was wrong in the fact about Wade's tentativeness in using Felix back there however, I thought it was just preseason smoke, but it seems that Wade really is scared of losing him to a kick-return injury

which I think is stupid, you needn't coach scared, have Felix back there as much as possible, it will only help us

I think Jones back there was the plan the whole time. Now Pacman I dont think he wanted top use on both return units

just listened to wade's press conference.

he also mentioned using pac in man coverage since he does best in that. of course they still gotta mix it up with zone coverage.

with this veteran backfield they should be able to do a lot of stuff.

Oh good. Someone finally pulled our coaching staff's head out of their rear, and got them a pair of balls to boot. Watching that conversation between Jerry and Wade the other day on the Hard Knocks program, ugh. Can't run a team scared of getting your playmakers hurt on special teams. Let's get Roy back out there on coverage again for good measure.

Game time - and we are putting our NFL best back there. This I am sure - these guys have been getting practice reps. Preseason tryouts over - Game time!

Playmakers need the football in their hands - we have Teshard Choice at RB also - and he may be better than Felixcat

This is where I think we failed with Julius. Once we knew what we had with Barber.......Julius should have been returning KOs. I think it would have helped him get into rhythm better and run harder during offensive plays.

Julius would have been a serious threat as a KR....and he would have been a huge upgrade over Thompson.

But now he is gone......at least Wade is letting Felix return kicks. I see Felix as being a Dave Meggett, Brian Mitchell, Herschell Walker type player for us........Run, Catch, Return Kicks, and maybe even Pass.
