Kind of taking the statement a bit out of context. You seem to add alot of your ideals to a simple statement being made.

If you look over the entire course of Pat Watkins' career I think the context is just fine. Like I said sometomes players who don't police what they say, end up speaking the truth; whether you care to accepth that or not.

wow! remind me never to use that site for any information. the only guy on that list out of the 1st 26 players that has become something in the NFL is #2 Haloti Ngata.
Those are HS Rankings.

Just because you're good in HS, doesn't mean you'll be good in College.

God I can't wait til Hamlin can get out on the field.

The idea of Watkins and Ken Hamlin out there together is bone chilling. Neither can tackle or cover. Neither one of these guys are able to do the simple things that are inherently part of the safety's job.

Thank Gawd Tony Gonzalez isn't still there.

But of course he will be up for our next game. :(

Because Pat knows he will get more reps this week and looks to improve you go off on him? As far as his career thus far it has not been good but the guy showed some improvement and showed that leading up to the season it is on him to show that he is an improved player but going off on a guy and ragging on him because he is talking about looking to improve? I think the routine is old looking for something to gripe about.

oh my bad. I figured they were college rankings since I do not see the point in posting highschool rankings.

Just pointing out the hype. Cromartie and Watkins where supposed to have been best two DB's in the state of florida coming out of HS.

I follow the rankings as I like to see who is who coming to different programs. Interesting to me to see how highly recruited guys flame out.

Not a big fan of having both Hamlin and Watkins on the field at the same time either. Both are better playing as center fielder type safeties. Both are willing but inconsistent tacklers, one can't wrap to save his life (Hamlin) and the other is still too light in the pants (Watkins). At least Watkins takes better angles and has a knack for the ball.

But Watkins will be playing SS, where he will be called upon to cover TEs & RBs, sometimes WRs. Like Ken Hamlin, not his strength at all.

I hope Wade recognizes this and protects him like he did Killer.

EDIT: One other item of note, I think there is bad blood between Hamlin and Watkins, if so, that will screw up the secondary chemistry/cohesion even more than it is now.

Nah the only bright spot when something is at rock bottom is that it can't get any worse :laugh2:
