DMN Blog: What did Bradie James mean when he said Cowboys can't be Patriots?

I think Bradie was saying this.

The Pats have Tom Brady and Randy Moss.

The Cowboys have Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson, Jerry Jones, Roy Williams, Jason Witten, etc.

The common man knows more Cowboys than he knows Patriots.

There are more 'egos' under the umbrella that is the Dallas Cowboys than there are 'egos' under the umbrella that is the New England Patriots.

Going to be a little harder keeping us dry this season.

And by dry I mean getting this team to the Super Bowl and winning it.

Again I say... Bradie isn't that bright. Sometimes I wonder about him as the "leader" on defense.

Amen. James, and Crayton, just need to shut up and frikkin play. They both talk a better game than they play. James especially is also a hypocrite. He bashes all the "ego" and "names" on the team, yet he pouted and yelled the most when he wasn't elected to the pro-bowl. James desperately wants to be a "name" himself. Talk to your teammates and find internal ways to unify your team instead of dropping quotes to the media every dang chance he gets. He is just as much of an attention ***** as the "names" he lambastes.

But most of all, better your play, be hardest on yourself. Especially at the POA, where James has had his butt handed to him on plays that he is supposed to excel, goal line and 3rd and short.

Great post.

2 years ago Bradie was on Sirius pumping the hosts for pro bowl votes. Meanwhile, the defense was leaking like a sieve at the time and he couldn't cover my Grandmother. Just shut up and play.

well this team needs to be like the pats in the sense of not talking about it but being about it. You rarely hear a patriot speak cause belicheat trains his players to be like freaking soldiers. Kraft acts like a real owner and not a promoter. the cowboys talk too much and you got Jerry doing what he does with all the circus bs. this team needs to just shut up and prove they really want to be champions.

I find Mensa filled mostly with self-righteous, egotistical, pompous *******s, so Internet Posters are already equal to Mensa Members. :laugh2:

Therefore, any Internet Poster already has the prerequisites for question anyone elses intellect on the Internet. ;)

That is a very condescending thing to say. Unless you are a member of Mensa how can you question someone's intellect based on a misspoken comment? Your pompousness is quite shocking and disappointing.

I'm not basing it on this one comment. I'm basing it off many rambling and confusing comments I've heard him make over the years he's been here. I've said things like this before, but I guess you missed it.

Now, brains are certainly not a most important requirement for being a good football player. But, yes, it's true: I think Bradie is a great guy and a good player and he certainly means well. But I don't think he gives the most intelligent commentary in the world. Frankly, I wish he'd leave the comments to the Cantys and Hamlins and Newmans of the defense.

Sorry I disappointed you, though.

Leadership, leadership, leadership.........We lack it, and lack maturity on both sides of the ball.

It's also why we're lame in December.

and bradie is saying that's not going to happen.

the article was talking about the circus and distractions. talks about JJ. then has bradie say this organization is never going to be like the patriots, but they can still be a team.

it's not that hard people. do you really want to be a fan of a patriots type organization? it's a closed society like china. no media access. all you get to do is watch the games and kiss ***. so what if they win. it's pointless because it's not shared with the fans at all.

with dallas you get all the promotional stuff and the stories, etc. as far as shutting up and playing. the patriots and giants don't do it either. giants constantly talk. while the patriots talk internally, then if they win, talk afterwards like cowards.
