What he has to say to the team is much more improtant that what he has to say to a bunch of hack reporters.

No doubt.

But leaders don't hide.

This isn't a matter of feeding the media the scandalous tidbits they're looking for, but more in addressing a team-related issue as its' quarterback and one of its' highest-profile members.

Other players can get away with 'no-commenting' the TO situation, the starting quarterback can't.

Tony has not hide from his responsibilty, he has taken the heat during the post game but when he comes down to the TO situation there is nothing to say, TO is gone and is no longer a member so nothing that is said is going to change one single thing all it will do is throw more fuel on the fire for fans and media. Fans and Media are not part of the team their views really do not matter the only ones are the men inside the locker room and as long as Tony is dealing with them the rest does not mean a thing.

To you maybe.

But I don't seem to recall Troy Aikman running away when issues sprang up regarding Michael Irvin.

But then again, Troy was a leader...

Who would Romo be talking to? The media they are not part of the team he owes them nothing he owes the men in the locker room no one else. Troy never said much about Irvin problem he stuck by him but other than that did not talk to the media about the problems Irvin was facing. This situation is nothing like that at all. This is no more than a bunch of media members and some fans wanting to know it serves no purpose what so ever and it changes nothing. Dallas cleaned out the distraction and it would be stupid to only add to the distraction that you are trying to get away from and for what? because the fans what to know or the media wants to know?

Again, you see it however you want.

I'll do the same.

This fan asks that the team's quarterback be a leader, not just another guy.

I'm not expecting Romo to come clean about the entire story or to give the media a new scandal.

I expect him to say something and address it like the other members of this team's leadership have.

And if he doesn't, I'll continue to doubt whether he has the leadership skills to be a truly great quarterback.

My opinion.

Great. Can't wait to hear it.

All I can say is that I just want to hear some football talk. I want to see how people like Sensabaugh, Olshansky and Brooking do.

All of this nonsense with Romo along with Williams' woe is me act and the depressing news of the practice facility collapse has been very tiresome.

^^^This^^^

And I will say that although I want the newly drafted QB to do well and hear how he is progressing...I hope they don't go into overdrive talking about him. That already wore me out a little after the draft.

I want to hear more about people who have a chance to start or contribute this year...I want to hear more about the Cincy Kids as well.

Just don't go all gaga over the new QB and in doing so leave out stories/reports about the other guys.

Ok...rant off.:D

It is your opinion but Romo is not trying to the be the leader of fans. doubting his leadership that too is on you but then you don't play for the team to question his leadership you don't know what or how he is viewed by the only people that matter which is his teammates. This seems to be more about you and other fans want, so you can have something to debate about for the next 6 months? Tony has stood and taken the heat he has never walked out of the locker room without addressing the media win or lose. And who are these other leaders? Garcia did not want to talk about TO, McNabb did and it turned into a he said/he said BS for a few month and in the end nothing changed and nothing was resolved. It is a waste of time nothing more than that.

Do me a favor and don't try to tell me what is and what isn't important.

You don't have that right.

The right you do have goes as far as what you think is important.

Jerry addressed the situation.

Phillips did as well.

Even Witten did.

As they all should have, since Owens was a key part of the team.

The only guy who hasn't so far has been Romo.

Romo should have addressed it earlier and moved on.

Then it would be over and done with like it is for the others.

Nobody's 'badgered' any of them about it since they stepped up and initially addressed it.

If Romo did that, he wouldn't be bothered with it now either.
