Not even talking about or scrutinizing the throw if we made plays in other areas. Like tackling, preventing a Jacobs 74 yard run and a 79 yard punt return. Those are bigger areas of concern than one of the few incompletions Romo had today. That play doesn't even happen if we take care of business elsewhere.

...right Hutch...i have to say that Barber's stock is falling a little but the o-line is in regression again toward the end of a season...Spencer was caught out against Jacobs and was beaten severely...he did eventually tackle him but the damage was done...the missed FG, return TD, Barber fumble and the mismatch on Spencer pretty much sealed an otherwise noteworthy performance by Romo and the receiving corp...Williams really came out today and made his teammates better because of it...

Nick Folk misses twice

Nick Folk's 57-yard field goal attempt at the end of the first half was understandable. But the 42-yarder with 10:38 left in the game was a money kick he's got to make. He low line drive hooked left.

``It wasn't very good operation,'' Folk said. ``From what I could tell, it looked like the ball wasn't where it needed to be.''

Punter Mat McBriar said he pushed the ball forward on the hold.

``I sometimes lunge forward to get the ball,'' McBriar said. ``That's how I punt. I move into the ball. If I'm trying to turn the ball to move the laces, sometimes I put the ball too far out front. It was just a bad hold.''

Folk is 2 of 7 over the last four games. He has missed eight times this season.

``I'm not going to lose confidence,'' Folk said. ``That's one thing I can tell you.''

Well thank you Bill, and thank you Folk for taking your medicine like a man, not.

He had maybe 3 bad throws out of 55 attempts. We should have never been in that situation to begin with.

I'm with you.

That was a bad throw, but overall, Romo wasn't the problem today.

No kidding. Completing 75% of 55 freakin' throws and people *****ing about mechanics.

...he had a few overthrown balls but 75% over 55 attempts for 3 TD/0 INT at 7.1 yds/att is pretty special, though you would've liked to have won the game...Williams, Austin and Witten really showed well but the running game was another story...or maybe the Giants loaded up against the run, not thinking that Romo could be that accurate and mistake free for an entire game...

I would prefer my kicker blame a bad hold than lose confidence in himself. Kicking is a major mind game, I want one who knows he's going to make all the kicks.

It actually makes a lot of sense if the ball was too far forward, that would cause it to hook like it did.

Jeeze Dave More, did we really even need a blog on this????? Here is something for you to go blog about: why did Folk miss a wide open field goal. Dallas sports writers ironically go hand in hand with Dallas Cowboys football in Decemeber, inept. At least the Cowboys have a good rest of the year though...more than can be said for most of our writers.
This and why did we miss so many tackles, why was Steve Smith wide open all day, why did we miss so many tackles on the punt return, why did we let slow *** Brandon Jacobs run up the sideline and score a TD without being touched, why did Marion Barber fumble the ball. I can think of about hundred things before I get to why Romo missed Roy. We were already down by two TD's and like you said it wouldn't have made a difference because the defense probably would have gave it right back.

That's the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" play of the game to me. Who knows how things might have turned out if they connected on that play?

:banghead:
it comes down to one or two plays...just like Week 2, just like Denver.
