Wow.. people are even going after our players who were barely healthy last year. I figured we might get decent value out of him this year if he played like he was starting to towards the end of the year, but a healthy Selvie is probably not a big drop off... although someone will probably sign him too at this rate. We seriously are running low on depth at this point with all the free agents that have not yet signed or have signed with other teams. That seems to be part of the system though. Don't play ok-good players more than what you could sign his replacement for.

This guy owes Dallas a cheap contract. They paid him like Bruce Smith the past two years for almost nothing.

He was pretty good at the end of the season.

Considering how much we have paid him thru the years, he should play for the vet minimum for us.

I wouldn't do this although I'm with you from my side of the equation. But he's probably better off here. He's at an age where he needs to get the best contract possible. My guess is that would be here next year if he plays well this year. My bet is he's likely gone.

I agree with another poster that Spencer will always be seen as a marginal bust here. He was paid like an elite player at his position but performed like an average player 90% of the time.

He wasn't a bust. Dallas got 6+ years of starting OLB play from a late first round pick. He only made one Pro Bowl, but 33% of all 1st round picks are actual busts.
