I hope like hell he pans out for the Cowboys.

What's a good nickname for Charles Tapper?

I keep coming up with 'crapper' and that's not good nor positive, cuz' I'm pretty high with this guy, I'd love to see him play some first(Irving'ator),,,if his paws are what he implies,,, maybe 'clamps' tapper,,, we'll see,,,#99 is his jersey I think

I recall reading what D.Ware was saying about his downtime and reconditioning his ' core' was almost transformational In his abilities, so that's a positive.

That would be something if Tapper and Irving can emerge as forces on both ends. I don't have much confidence that Lawrence will earn a second contract. I believe this is his final year and he hasn't proven himself reliable enough to resign, unless we bring him back on a few one-year prove it deals (ala Claiborne) but I'm sick of those type of players. You should be able to show in your first 4 years that you're a reliable pro. That's why I don't mind tying up big money into our big 3 on the O-line because they left no doubt that they're worth every penny. You got guys like Claiborne, Wilcox, Escobar and maybe Lawrence here for 4-5 years and it's still not enough time to determine if they're worth the money. That's why I'm looking at Lawrence as a guy in a contract year and Irving as our potential future SDE.

I was excited about him last year and now I just don't care. It's Marinelli's fault because he ran him too much? He's all better now and is going to get after it. We'll see...

Everyone feels great this time of year. He has some skills that are attractive. His 40 time doesn't mean much to me. Ideally you would hope he would add to the group as a guy who can give you quality snaps. That would be a good first sign.

The D-line is obviously missing that one elite player. If you had one guy, I would think everyone on the D-line would reap the benefits. Getting that guy is the issue though.

It shows that he is explosive.

I love the 40 time and vertical jump for certain position and DE is one of those positions.

Hopefully he can step up and Lawrence can get healthy. The only DEs we currently have are Tapper, Lawrence, Mayowa, Irving and Moore (and Moore isn't even guaranteed to make the team). In a perfect world, all the young guys step up and we have a solid pass rush. But there's too much hoping in that situation.

I don't see us drafting anyone at DT this April. (Collins, Thornton, Paea, Crawford, Irving); plus we had some other guys on the 53 roster and PS.
I see us drafting one DE and only one....but we have to hope the right guy falls in line on day 1 or day 2. (DLaw, Mayowa, Irving, Tapper, draft choice); plus Moore and another guy in the pipeline/PS.

One DE to either bring it in the rotation or develop, but the rest of the defensive focus is going to have to be CB and S.

Give me the successful drafting of one of each--- CB, S, DE, TE, WR, OT ---and I'll be a happy fan.

He's going to be nice in Rod's system, along with Jaylon Smith (yes I'm being positive, sue me).

I can't wait for the season to start.

Prediction - Our past rush will be better next year. Addition of Tapper, healthy Lawrence, maturation of Collins and Irving.

My worry is now whether the offensive line takes a step back.
No doubt...only way it doesn't is if Green can stay healthy and play the right side as well as he played for TSmtih on the left....even then, we still have to find another guy for depth besides just Cleary.

they need to get a dominant DL whether a DE or DT.
if it is a DT, they could just play Irving and TCrawford as LDE.
