Pre-draft visits lie ahead for Dallas Cowboys

IRVING – With the NFL draft fast approaching, the Cowboys will have their 30 allowable pre-draft visits from prospects from April 15 to 17.

Among the visiting players will be Texas A&M quarterback Stephen McGee, whose stock has climbed since the NFL scouting combine. McGee had a disappointing senior season in part because of shoulder problems.

Southlake Carroll product Chase Daniel, Missouri's record-setting quarterback, will take part in the "Dallas day" workout for players from the "metropolitan area" on April 10, along with Rice tight end James Casey, who played at Azle.

The Cowboys are also scheduled to meet with safeties Mike Hamlin (Clemson), Louis Delmas (Western Michigan) and Darcel McBath (Texas Tech). The other scheduled visitors are: Western Illinois linebacker Jason Williams, NC State tight end Anthony Hill, Southern Cal wide receiver Patrick Turner, Richmond outside linebacker Lawrence Sidbury, Fresno State quarterback Tom Brandstater, Iowa cornerback Bradley Fletcher and Oregon cornerback Jairus Byrd.

Mohamed Massaquoi is supposed to visit.

I think Jauquin Iglesias is a sleeper pick for the Cowboys. In round 3, he's a steal, and he could fall to 69. If the board is picked clean in round 2, he's a value.

I like both of them in the middle rounds...if we get either in that area, it's a nice add IMO

Massaquoi went from being a major stone hands to a pretty solid WR in his time at UGA...kept getting bigger and strong, vastly improved his hands and runs pretty good routes

he also turned into a vocal, team leader, took AJ Green under his wing

I'm glad that they're looking at Bradley Fletcher

id rather have johnny knox or mike thomas, i want a wr with true blinding deep speed like 4.33 in 40 that can burn you, this is what this team needs, we have the big physical wrs in roy williams at 6-3 215 4.44 in 40, miles austin at 6-3 215 or so with 4.43 in 40, but we need a wr with deep speed in 40, thats faster than a hiccup and can burn you, thats what johnny knox or mike thomas can do

Hey, Fletcher is an interesting sleeper... 6-1, 195 pounds, 4.45 second 40... he might project to FS in the NFL... in 2008, he had 60 tackles, 3 ints and 10 passes broken up...

On the down side, he did take a DUI bust in 2007, and was only a full-time starter last season...

I'd like to see some pure speed added to the WR corps, too...

He's projected as a late rounder, but he looks pretty good to me...

Here's some good stuff on Sidbury too.

If the Cowboys take him that swim move better work on the NFL level...

I always liked him. Now, they just plucked another big guy out of Memphis. The Bears are really looking at Massaquoi. Both players can work that middle just like Crayton, and Iglesias has some of the best hands in the draft. He can get deep, too. That pass happy system at Oklahoma is going to serve him well in the NFL. He's really quick in tight space.

If Iglesias is there at 69, Dallas will run the card to the podium, imo. #51 isn't out of the question, either, imo. Dallas might have drafted Steve Smith in 2007, but the Giants took him two picks sooner, I think.

I wholeheartedly agree. But he does have a sweet looking spin move though. Just hope he knows when to use it.

I had Turner in a mock a few months ago, but not now. Not a good fit.

I dont want to draft a QB anymore either. After the top 3 they're all about the same to me. You could bring 2 or 3 UFA in and be just fine
