When will Chaz Green be back?

Also, regarding Leary's contract, I say we pay him.

Dallas has found success because of the O-line.. Go cheap somewhere else but keep your best 5 regardless of price

You start balancing out the roster you'll balance your W-L record as well.

You are one of the worst posters on this site.

Ignore me then clown..

You go from thread to thread looking for me like you have a crush on me.

Just because you are captain homer doesn't mean everyone agrees with you.

I wonder if he regrets coming to Dallas.
I doubt it. Here are some of Collins' own words about life, LSU, preparing for the draft and his future before the unfortunate events surrounding the April 24, 2005 murder of his former girlfriend and her murder investigation happened:

November 2014
I definitely know that in the future I’m going to have to take on everything coming my way. I’m trying to embrace my last couple of weeks here. You can always make money and do those things but can never make memories. I’m trying to make the best out of what I have here.”
If you start feeding into the media, they’re pumping your head up and you fall, then nobody’s going to be talking about you anymore. I’ve got a mindset, and I’ve always been like this: ‘Everybody’s better than me.’ I feel like I’m the underdog.

February 2015
Getting ready for the draft is completely different than the recruiting process. Getting a scholarship to go a Division I school that allowed me to go four years, everything was mapped out. I knew where I was going. They get you ready for the real world. When you are in the real world, it's time to talk business. The things you do on and off the field and being able to relay that to the pro team officials, and be a grown man about it is completely different than four years ago.

Back then, I was a young boy who had pretty much everything laid out for him. Now it's the real world and you have to make grown man decisions. It's more business like. A different world, a different feel. They are both a little scary. Now you don't know who is going to pick you. It's about being ready for whatever comes your way
This time it's not going to be that simple. When a team chooses me I'll be able to do everything I need to do. Look at what city I'm going to be in, the people around me, coaches around me. You're excited about getting picked but after that it's time to focus who you are going to be working with. I think guys enjoy the process, but when you are able to be part of a team, that's what it's all about. You have a goal and you are looking forward to it. Leaning what the team is all about. You have a better feel. That's the feeling I'm waiting to get again.
Left tackle is definitely where I want to play in the NFL. But I feel like I can play at any position on the offensive line. I'm still going to work my hardest to be the best at that position, work my hardest to compete and just keep that mindset and be able to go out there and really play ball. I feel like every aspect of my life I need to improve on. I'm continuing to work on run plays, on pass protection, technique, hand placement with a guy named Todd Weiner (former Falcons tackle) down in Atlanta. Being able to work on those things, focus on that and sharpen up on all my board work is really going to help me be the player I want to be.
I want to be the best tackle in the game. I'm going to continue to work and prepare myself that way. I want to come in and learn everything that I need to know and get on the field as early as possible. I want a team to be able to trust me that I can get myself on the field and be ready to go. Everything else, I'll take from there.

No one knows what Collins thinks about his career at this point, just like it's unknown what the team told him before he was signed as an undrafted free agent. But his own words give the impression of a player who neither take things for granted nor loses focus about what it takes to succeed. I think he has his head screwed on straight and various concerns about his personal vision are misplaced.

Leary walks next season, and Collins steps right into that spot. Saving Dallas a big contract on a player with a degenerative knee condition and buying us time to extend Frederick on our cap.

The writing was on that wall the day Collins signed.

Leary can't walk until 2017

That's what it looks like.

The NFL is stupid. The one helmet thing has precisely zero to do with head injuries. They need to make all players wear new technology as a standard and not allow the old pitiful Riddell helmets to be used anymore.

Yeah I agree. Hopefully the throwbacks somehow make their return

I just hope we don't make the mistake of not playing or letting Leary walk just because of Collins.

Leary is a road grader and a heck of a player.

If Collins works out it would be nice to trade Leary, though not sure if that's viable.

you sound logical but the best defensive coach in the league doesn't agree

Just because he's a great coach doesn't mean he's a great talent evaluator. The proof is in the numbers, & both Detroit & Green Bay ate our lunch with the run. Stopping the run begins & ends with your DTs, & those late round & UFAs aren't going to be ones to turn that around. Over TEN years without a high DT pick. Think about that. If it's crucial to shore up the offensive interior, then why isn't it JUST as important to bring in players who can compete against them. Watch practice. The DTs are getting their heads handed to them by Martin, Frederick, & Co. Until Marinelli is wearing a ring on his finger, I'll keep beating the drum for higher picked defensive interior players.

Depends how much he wants. Out of the 5 linemen, T. Smith is locked up and Free is a plug at this point. So, out of the remaining 3, I rather put money towards Frederick and/or Martin over Leary. He's a good player, but not someone I would want to pay full value for.

Leary may very well walk next year, but I don't think it will be without some compensation. He's a restricted free agent. I'd imagine that Dallas would tender him at some level knowing that SOMEONE is going to pony up a pick for him. If not then we still have some pretty damned good depth on the O-line without a king's ransom tied to all of it. Might as well take advantage while we can. Martin and Fredbeard's upcoming contracts are going to to set league records respective to both of their positions. You can count on that.

Yep. Thank God.

The NFL needs to stop with the throwbacks. That was cool for a couple of years, but it looks ridiculous now. Those brown and yellow Broncos pukes, and whatever that is the Eagles wear.....yuck.

Uniforms make the NFL great. You see the Steelers uniforms, and you know EXACTLY what who they are, what they've done, what their history is, and why you hate them. It's not just a uniform, it's a history in cloth.

What in the world is Tampa thinking? Those uniforms are hideous. And Cleveland? Sure, they're uniforms were boring, but they were steeped in tradition. I give a pass to Seattle and Tampa because they were so bad for so long, but what is Tampa doing now? Those are hideous, especially when the last ones were cool and they won a Super Bowl in them.

Other leagues have ruined themselves this way. The NFL should be careful.

well said and I agree. they throw tradition out the window, and for me it makes it hard to tell whos playing sometimes.
The new uniforms tend to change the traditional colors as well.

Seattles dark green looks black from a distance, and some other teams just look black too.
That is why I dont complain about cowboy uniforms, and could be one reason why cowboys are still the most popular team.
Nice looking traditional uniforms and always play on thanksgiving.

Is it just me or is Gregory a bit slow to get off the ball at the snap?
