I thought we could do it but this defense is not pulling its weight at all. They can't stop the run and are not getting TOs. Even getting Dez back will not change that.only Romo could cover for them but I feel its too late.the worst is going 7-9 and not be in the running for a top pick.

I saw Jay Glazer on Colin Cowherd and Colin asked him about the Cowboys and Glazer said after covering the league as long as he has, his favorite player is Troy Aikman. Colin asked why and he said to do what Troy did in Dallas is so remarkable because everything is times 20. The microscope is unimaginable compared to very other team and that includes the Patriots. He said Keith Brookings said the same thing. He was simply not prepared mentally when he first got to Dallas to be scrutinized by the media, fans and even other players in the NFL because of all the teams, other players see the Cowboys the most because of their television schedule.

He said Dallas will wear you out if you're not a great player or emotionally really strong.

I thought that was very interesting.

Good analogy.

I think Jimmy Johnson was the best at handling that pressure.

He did it by making himself be the focus and he allowed the players and coaches to play.

And he burned out from the pressure.

We just saw Harbaugh do the same in Frisco.

Garrett has reached a good place with his career but I wonder how he is going to deal with the end of Romo's career and the fallout coming.

This season has to have made it perfectly clear that unless the team makes a move in the draft to find a future at the QB position..

all this noise about winning in Dallas is going to be laughed at.

When I look at teams like the Packers who have progressed from Farve to Rodgers and still won..

or the Colts with Manning and now Luck

you realize how far we are behind the curve.

It gets depressing.

I agree with the packers but Luck and Indy are terrible.

2-4 seems insurmountable... However the Commanders started 3-6 in this division and won it in 2012.

This season the league has figured out how to slow him down..

we had a hand in that last season..

But what I'm sort of saying is how yhe Colts were willing to move on and take the bad season and draft Luck.

Its exactly what we need to do now.

But we won't because Jerrah is married to the Tony Romo Dream..

and somehow somebody has convinced him that more draft picks for the defense is the way to win.

Not one of our top draft picks has really made any significant contributions in a losing season..

The only one maybe will be Collins and he wasn't drafted.

So with all the needs we had in the off-season..

not much was really fixed.

Are you saying the Cowboys need to move on from Romo? That is ridiculous. The dude is still an elite quarterback. Manning had a neck injury that looked like it was gonna be chronic. All signs point to Romo being fine, healthy, and still being able to be the superstar quarterback that he is.
