It sounds like Murray doesn't really want to go to the Eagles. It sounds like he was trying to use the threat of him going to a division rival to force the Cowboys to up their offer. So far, The Cowboys have been willing to call his bluff.

You dont lay on the bed dangling your legs in the air, twirling chewing gum around your finger while you talk to the Eagles head coach about how you'd love to play there, then hop on a plane the next day to visit if you dont really want to go there

Not what I mean, If others are offering a lot more and Cowboys are not budging he should not be giving out discounts, on the other end if Cowboys try to work with him and are slightly less then yes I can see Murray signing with Dallas. Cowboys are the ones saying test the market and get back to us.

I knew what you meant, just being sarcastic. All the power to Murray if he wants to vet out his options but save (his pops) the violins with hurt feelings and all - it comes across silly to me. If you want to play for the Eagles cause they're maybe offering $2M more a season and/or $5M more guaranteed, go for it. Obviously there's a distinct difference in perceived value between parties.

I'd rather he just sign in Oakland, but it's possibly then that Philly would just stick with Ryan Matthews and he'd have a better year than Murray.
