DMN: Eagles aware of Bobby Carpenter

He is playing better but nothing like a 1st rd pick if he was he would be starting instead of being in nickel only. At least he is contributing and I hope he can go out and make some plays for us this weekend
Our line-backing core is deep. I don't see him knocking any of these guys off for a while.

But yes its finally nice too see him out their contributing.

I'm past the point of thinking Carpenter will live up to the 1st rd selection we spent on him, at this stage I'll be more than happy to see him contributing and making plays for us to help this team win games.

The Iggs coaching staff has ZERO respect for Wade/Campo and the rest of the defensive staff... it all starts with Reid!

Hey Marty Morhinweg, Bobby Carpendter is #54 not #51.

Maybe we can package a deal in the offseason and trade him to Philly, haha.

I will say this...Bobby is very good at sticking to TEs in coverage within 7-10 yds of the LOS. That's usually good enough to force the QB to go to the next option.
Agreed.
and they are putting him in situations that are his strength.''
That is the way to get the most out of Carp. He's not going to be taking on guards and making plays against the run, but you can't argue against his athleticism. I think Wade is doing a pretty good job of getting him in space and letting him play rather than having him bang into OLineman all day.

You know things are going well when Carpenter is getting props.

Kinda makes me nervous.

1 sack in the last 2 games, what an animal!

How long did it take Ware to get his 1st sack of the year?

Not making comparison's, just joking actually, but also trying to keep things in perspective.

Well I completely disagree with these statements.

I think the signing of Keith Brookings was very good for Carpenter. They seem to have some type of chemistry as well. Whatever it is, having a hand in shutting two of the best Tes in the game down is no easy feat.

I don't think its a space issue in the run game whatsoever. In the run game he has performed better as a OLB where hes right over the OL/TE.

I am sure that this will be ignored again because it doesn't jive with peoples worldview but take a look starting right around the 6:00 mark. Carp is playing physical football now as well playing well in coverage.

Maybe just maybe the play from practice is starting to carry over to games for once.

Personally, I think we should trade Carp to the Bears. Urlacher is on IR and he's got a good 10 years in the league. Carp, IMO, is the same kind of player Urlacher is. He doesn't fit in every scheme but, he fits the Tampa2 MLB position pretty well IMO. That kind of scheme matches his skills to a tee IMO.

The Sheagles are slim at LBer.
Wonder if they'd trade for Carp.

So are they aware of Bobby Carpenter as a concept or as an actual player? :)
