The ready thing is mere opinion.

And it is fair to say he has no defense whatsoever. Jason Garrett could coach another 40 years with multiple teams and he'll never have less talent on defense than he does right now.

Wouldn't that mean giving your man Rod a lot of credit? Ro, Melton, Craw, Scandrick. Pretty pedestrian admittedly but worse D ever? The team ranked historically bad last year but with more talent with Ware and Hatch and 8 games of Lee. Athletic freaks are definitely lacking outside of Space Cadet Carter and Melton when healthy/full time (but is he ever?) but they have managed this season though are obv. vulnerable against real Offenses. Next year you have Lee (gulp), McClain, Lawrence, and Scandrick. 4 our of 11 ain't great but not the doomsday scenario you are depicting it to be. A few smart FAs and a strict focus on D talent in the draft make this much more tolerable than the "plight" facing JG (who had a hand in wasting O picks that could've been spent on D).

You said JG could coach for 40 yeas with less talent but the D has been formidable enough and aren't ranked any where as poorly as some other teams with considerably more talent. You know I generally like your posts, well maybe not the giving a JG pass as a result of JJ but thought that didn't vibe.

The defense hasn't been formidable enough. They've been awful. They suck. They merely have been hidden by a very good offense this year. One that can control the clock and limit those stiffs getting on the field.

That definitely plays a bigger role but couldn't completely hide a dII level talent D. BTW I only really like Craw, Law, Scan,Lee, Ro, Wilcox, and Melton (maybe Hitchens due to instincts) Just giving you grief for your JG support/pass But this is a bad D but not the worst eve fielded as you're making it out to be to support to "woe is us" when justifying giving Garrett a pass in the process simply bc he has JJ in his belt. I feel the team is really only a true edge rusher and ball hawking S from turning the unit from a weakness to a strength. Dept on the DL is always important and feel a 1 tech with some wiggle could be had mid draft if Brent doesn't looks like he lost it.

With Garrett, he has only had one really good stretch, 6-1 this year.

If he finds a way to blow the playoffs after that start, there is no hope for him.

'He' hasn't. The team has. But the 'moving the goalposts' line was in reference to you changing the range of games to a different arbitrary range when you're previous error, errr, typo was called out.

you got to do better than that..............three years of 8-8 and we should ignore that??? how long has he been the head coach again??? ....and he's been with this organization as the offensive coordinator and head coach since 2007???? He's not responsible for some of the players on this team??? HE'S NOT A GOOD HEAD COACH, he's nothing but Jerry's little puppet!!
