The power of the evil Ginger.

The ginger had an electric shock color sewn into Jerry's skivies and told him if he says superbowl in the PC he will shock him with the remote control he had under the table.

And someone said old dogs can't learn new tricks...looks like the evil ginger taught that old Dog Jerry a new trick.

really seem to me that Cowboys had no real plan for some time. you know long term plan. Garrett I think has that plan and he is building from a new start. not a quick result but long lasting one.

Bingo. Let's hope injuries don't derail this season so we can enjoy a playoff appearance.

We had something to prove 7 years ago and they are just now learning humility?

If Garrett hasn't had success by now then I doubt it's coming anytime soon.

It's not 1990 and it doesn't take this long to build a team that wins.

Devil's Advocate: might it not have taken as long had the GM not burned up so much cap cash and draft picks on players who were/are/likely injury risks or just not concerned with anything but their signing bonuses?

Not a Garrett fan but I do like like the fiestiness of this group of Cowboys vs. the entitled/overpaid teams of recent years.

Look- the process IS working- JJ has even been acting like a GM with actual acumen, pro personnel is top-notch, better drafting... the question is can we as a fan base endure much more embarrassment without a leap to being Super Bowl contenders on the horizon?

I dont think so. Some players were old and overpaid contracts. team is now full of self morivate people and young. Its a different thinking and sometimes you have to clean up before you can set up shop right. teams like 49ers and seahwaks and rams these teams had high draft picks for years until they got new coaches to put it together. Garrett didnt have that. he had bad foundation you know. bad linemen offense and defense. hes building up foundation and getting young hungry leader type players. (Ware is great lineman I mean he had only couple a good lineman and nobody behind them. thats why it takes time right

Landry-style--and Jerry is giving him the leash to do it, much to the chagrin of the wannabe realist-pumpers.

We're waiting around for him to have a perfect team meanwhile other teams are finding ways to win with weaknesses on their roster.

Seahawks damn near were a perfect team. Only team going toe to toe with them last year the 49ers, damn near another perfect team. It's nowhere near as simple as you're trying to make it. Especially given the fact that both of those super teams sucked for the last 5 years + before they suddenly got good in the last 3 years. It's something called a process which other teams had to go through as well. But you're only looking at the end result not the time it took to get there.

Why are u talking about teams in the conference championship? We just want Ginger to make the playoffs. Were all the teams in the playoffs the last 3 years perfect?

Not a damn single one of the teams in the playoffs had 20 different linemen play for them and have the 32nd ranked defense either.

In the NFL if you have good coaching and good QB play you are pretty much a Superbowl contender by default.

I personally think we have had great QB play and we have had coaching that is at the very bottom.
