LOL Detroit?

And the Colts give up 40+ to any team with a good offense. Good but not great team in a lousy division. Overrated

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
I am very surprised he has Dallas as high as 8, and ahead of the Eagles.
He simply does not like the Cowboys, never has, never will and he uses that against them in his writing and thinking. But yet claims he doesn't.

It is not think I they should be number 1, but number 8? Come on man. In words of the ESPN guys.

He was asked one time what he always picked against Dallas at times. His answer was, if he went with Dallas since he was are porter from this area, he would be labeled a homer, if he went against them, he would be called a hater.
So he just started picking them to lose on the road, win at home, unless the game was so lopsided either way, he jad to go with the dominate team. Well, guess what, IMO he is still a hater.
He said that on Norm Hitzges a good 6 years ago I believe it was.

So do you want to put faith in a guy that thinks that way.

Now he can claim he is straight forward, tells it likes he sees it, and that is fine, but even when he says something positive, there is a grain "dislike" in the statement.

Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks Brandon Weeden (3) and Tony Romo (9) huddle in the tunnel with Jameill Showers and Dustin Vaughan before an NFL preseason football game against the San Diego Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, in San Diego, Calif. (Smiley N. Pool/The Dallas Morning News)

1. Green Bay. Pro Bowl WRJordy Nelson is out so the Packers plug Davante Adams in. He had seven catches for 117 yards and a TD in playoff win over Dallas. Green Bay knows how to build a deep, talented team.

2. Indianapolis. Adam Vinatieri enters his 20thseason as the NFL’s fourth all-time scorer. He’s five points out of third (Jason Hanson), 289 out of second (Gary Anderson), and 399 out of first (Morten Andersen).

3. New England. The dynamic of the AFC changes with Tom Brady reinstated for the first four games of the season, including dates with playoff contenders Pittsburgh and Dallas.

4. Seattle. Russell Wilson has his new contract. Now he’s going to have to step up his game and play to the level of his money — $87 million.

5. Baltimore. In Elvis Dumervil and Terrell Suggs, the Ravens have the best set of pass-rush bookends in the NFL. And the pass rush is where it all starts on defense.

6. Denver. Peyton Manning is 39 this season. The oldest quarterback ever to win a Super Bowl was his boss, John Elway, at 38.

7. Detroit. Golden Tate and a healthy Calvin Johnson could propel QB Matthew Stafford to his second career 5,000-yard passing season.

8. Dallas. No one starts a season better than the Cowboys, who have won 66.7 percent of their openers (36-18-1). The Cowboys open Sunday night against the Giants.

With an improved pass rush like we're obviously going to have....not sure why he wouldn't put us in the top 5 or 6. I don't see Denver, Balt, or Detroit being any better than last year.
Honestly, there's no reason at all we shouldn't beat every one of those teams.

Detroit is the real head scratcher, they lost so much along the D-line but Tate is going to balance it all out.

People probably question our defense and perceived inability to advance in the playoffs

I am a pessimistic person by nature, however, I think the Cowboys have a legitimate argument for the #1 spot -- not that preseason rankings mean squat.

My only worry about this team, other than Romo getting hurt, is there isn't a single above average player in the secondary and for the most part it, as a whole, is below average.
