I didn't pay much attention to the Jags, was Parnell worth the contract?

No. Nor was he worth the ridiculous reputation he built up around here.

He was okay. That's it. The Jaguars paid for okay.

That is what happens in free agency. Oh, look 12 win team, he must be good.

Moore I liked. I'd like a longer CB though. Harris I liked a lot but you can find players like him cheaper. We need to feed the ball to Beasley more and throw less to Witten. 50 to Witten and 80 to the Beasley.

That article reminds me. I was looking at the philly box score that last game and saw murrays rushing line at one point. 5 carries, 49 yards. Long carry of 54 yards. I laughed.

Point is...we lost valuable depth. Watching tonights playoff teams...sure showed me. We don't have it.:(

We lacked depth for years. But yes, these players were better depth lost, than we gained. Looked like we replaced them, but it turned out we didn't.

But give me Bruce Carter on his good days over Wilber and Gachkar. Sterling more was decent, and seemed we replaced him with White, but after he was released, that actually hurt. Well, when he was out with injuries too.
I liked Durant, but he too, could not and still can't stay healthy.
Melton wasn't great, but he wasn't horrible. I think it was just a money issue. Not to over pay him. Quite a few of them were that way actually.

Obviously Murray was the biggest loss. Doesn't mean he would have even had 1300 yards or repeat from 2014, but he would have done better here than in Philly. But it doesn't mean we would have won games with him and without Romo. All could have turned out the same.

But always had a depth issue, but most teams do. Just we never see it as much. I have a feeling depth will be a bit of an issue next season also.
We have 18 FA's, and most think, including myself...oh, they won't be missed. Well, they may not be that big of impact players, not that much depth. But they still need to be replaced. Just hope they get lucky on most of those replacements.

This is where the draft is hurting us. We have really struck out late day 3 the last couple of years. Now while missing late round draft picks is hardly lamented, those pics represent opertunities to replace some of the depth and role players without having to give a veteren contract to a non starter

No loss with any of them

These 3 all did good , and bernadeau, and Murray would have done good if in dallas or some other teams.
Sterling Moore, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Moore spent the first four games of the season as the Buccaneers' nickel back, then was mostly benched as the team moved Alterraun Verner to the spot and he excelled there, recording five tackles and a sack in his first game. After three games with very little playing time, Moore moved into the starting lineup and became the team's top cornerback. He started eight straight games for Tampa Bay before coming in as a reserve for the season finale. Moore finished with 45 total tackles, one off the amount he recorded for the Cowboys last year. He also made one interception. Moore had one interception in three seasons with the Cowboys.

Just imo but I think this guys was a better cb than either of our 2 starters.

Justin Durant, Atlanta Falcons

Durant's time in Dallas was plagued by injuries and his first year in Atlanta was no different. Durant dealt with injuries most of the season and missed three games because of them. Despite that, he posted 82 tackles, more than he accumulated in two years in Dallas (73).
....I think Durant would have come in handy in 2015 carter too.

Dwayne Harris, New York Giants

The Giants signed Harris primarily to be a return man, but injuries to receivers forced him into the offensive lineup as well. In the return game Harris earned a punt return touchdown and his first-career kick return touchdown. (Cowboys fans remember the latter.) On offense, Harris finished the season with 36 receptions for 396 yards and four touchdowns, all career highs.

I think NYG got more out of harris than we would have, but still he was missed.
