I'm beginning to like Beasley quite a bit. He's not fast but seems to find the open spot. He's also has a knack for moving the chains. He kind of reminds of a smaller version of Witten. Maybe a mini-Witten.

Perhaps a Witten with much more quickness and speed. (Of course, the size isn't quite comparable -- LOL)
He also provides the extremely necessary function of diverting some attention away from Dez.
It's also gratifying to see him getting more plays in with each passing week these days.

I'm sure this is every D coordinators first thought when he sees Dallas up next on the schedule.

I hope Dez is irrelevant because Randle and Dunbar are running the ball and gaining big chunks of yardage.

Dez Bryant #88 of the Dallas Cowboys celebrates after scoring a touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on December 14, 2014 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

IRVING — While in London, Dez Bryant told Michael Irvin he was about to have a huge second-half to the season. Since delivering that statement, the Cowboys are 4-1, and Bryant has played a significant role.

Over the last five games, the Cowboys receiver has 29 receptions for 513 yards and seven touchdowns. No player has more receiving touchdowns during that span.

“We obviously are seeing the just outstanding contributions he’s making to our success,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Friday on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]. “He’s not only making great plays, he’s making them at the absolute most indispensable time to make them, just right on time, and winning games with those plays.

“Now, that’s how you draw it up, and that’s how you take a great talent and make it do what everybody is supposed to be doing, and that is the team, trying for the championship.

“Yeah, I think we’re seeing more of that. I will say this, when he’s away from the ball, you’re seeing him run better routes, you’re seeing him do some better things. He had a little drop-off a couple games back, I’m talking about his blocking, I’m talking about his discipline on routes away from the ball.”

Jones then acknowledged that Bryant has refocused himself with the help of Cowboys receivers coach Derek Dooley. Jones said Bryant is doing a better job “understanding what veteran players do, that their part away from the ball is critical to the success around the ball.”

On Sunday, Bryant could see a lot of Colts cornerback Vontae Davis, one of the game’s best at his position. However, Davis is listed as questionable with a groin injury.

“He’s the ultimate competitor,” Davis said. “There’s not too many competitors around the league like Dez Bryant. He’s just one of those guys who hates losing, myself as well, so it should be fun.”

“He’s a nightmare,” Colts coach Chuck Pagano said of Bryant. “He’s one of the most competitive guys that we’ve seen. He’s a great talent. He’s a great player. He’s a combination of size, athleticism and speed. But his competitive nature and his drive and his passion for the game and for his team and for winning is second to none.

“The guy’s a monster. … It’s going to take all hands on deck to just try to contain him and make sure that he doesn’t wreck the game.”

Perfect road record and 3-4 home record 'confusing' to Cowboys' Travis Frederick: 'It feels the same'
  • What's interesting about the Dallas Cowboys listing DeMarco Murray as questionable vs. Colts
  • Cowboys' RB DeMarco Murray won't have to run gauntlet to prove he can play Sunday
  • Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray spotted at practice, but RG Zack Martin, RT Doug Free sit out

I think this game will be the opposite of the Eagles game. The Eagles over-focused on stopping the Cowboys running game and Romo/Dez made them pay. I expect the Colts to over-focus on stopping Romo and the passing game and the running game will have to take advantage. Hopefully, Martin is good to go as he might be more important than Murray to the running game. My biggest concern is Murray fumbling the ball. I think Randle/Dunbar can do a good job if Murray is limited.

In general I don't disagree. Teams are always trying to flow with the opponents moves. I would play the run on first against us and then try and keep Tony guessing. Presnap confusion can at times confuse Tony and the receivers into mistakes. It also keeps us off balance. I'd also blitz Tony enough to get some sacks, maybe some FFs, some poor throws and maybe an INT or three. Blitzing up the A gaps and doing a lot of stunts, games and the like confuse our OL as well. Run blitzes on first down are a good idea up to a point.

They need to bring their A game today to beat Indy. I expect a lot of different looks on defense esp in the nickel type schemes. I'd like to see a bit of man under esp if Carr gets a lot of snaps. They have to do something to throw Indy off their routes and create some time and confusion for pressure to develop. Indy should be looking in the middle and over the top as well as wheel routes, flairs, and sprint outs for their RBs. The LBers and DBs need to play well and not miss too many assignments. Lots of SPs.

If Williams steps up, it'll be the first time in a couple of months.

I am really disappointed in Williams. he had a great first six games but now he just disappears maybe its the play calling that has taken him out of games.

He's not running good routes and getting open. It's that simple. He needs to spend time in the film room (a lot), work on his routes mentally, then ask someone to mentor him. Drew Pearson has a game suited to mentoring him.

I would always go with extreme blitzing against the Cowboys offense if I were the opposing team. He will beat you if he has time.

I have not gone though the All-22 and reviewed all of Williams snaps, but I do know that he has been open many times and the ball just didn't go to him.

That makes for a simple game plan. Any NFL QB will kill you if you let him stand back there. But I agree Tony is special. And one of his weaknesses is get a bit rattled at times.
