Well I knew his ball flight looked different and it must have been because of his back. His balll usually starts left and comes back right and both of his misses did not have that trajectory.

Jerry and his "limitations".

They said on The Break that Bailey woke up Sunday and his back felt terrible. Something about how maybe it was due to the fact that the beds at the hotel were very soft.

Doesn't sound like an injury.

Isn't that the guy that Larry Allen punched in the head after he missed a field goal and blamed the holder?

Yep that was it. Dude, getting punched by Larry Allen would be some serious pain. I think that was the last game Cortez played for us. Good thing they didn't have the concussion protocol they do now.

I don't think that's the biggest back issue we should be worried about.

Keep your eye on Tyrone Smith - the combination of a bulging disc and the fact we signed tackle Emmitt Cleary is a sign we should very concerned moving forward.

Who is Tyrone?

I agree losing an all pro left tackle is serious.

Anybody else seeing these back injury reports about him? Supposedly we are starting to look at other kickers. Maybe it's a bit more serious than initially thought.

My vote is Robbie Gould

Kristie scales reported this during warmups yesterday. He was with dr fowler on the field and chris jones was doing kickoffs. Apparently he hurt his back sometime over friday or saturday.

I hadn't heard this until I saw your post, but was wondering what was up with him...Espn fantasy football has this to say:

Bailey missed a 47-yard field goal for the second consecutive week in Sunday's win over the 49ers, and after the game Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones admitted the kicker has been dealing with back tightness, The Dallas Morning News reports. "We were very concerned before the game," Jones said of Bailey. "Not surprised at all that he missed the field goal. Thought that was a pretty good time to check it out. Might not have wanted to try another one during the game -- a long field goal. There's no question that he had a limitation there."
Spin:
The 28-year-old has been one of the most reliable kickers in the league throughout his career, but with Bailey at less than 100 percent right now you may want to look to the waiver wire for another option, particularly in leagues that award bonus points for longer FG

Who will they release to sign another kicker if they need to?

I think Forbath and Gould are both available.

I hate when fantasy football crap is reported. That can be taken the wrong way actually.
Who in the hell cares what fanatsy football take is on it, and to say look for another kicker.

I want what the team is saying and doing.
