Garrett and his staff can counter and cheese coming from Jerry. That is something Wade Phillips could not do.

Cheese is good for you in moderation.
And that's one of the reasons Wade was such a poor fit for Jerry land. The "crash and burn" that happened with him was truly inevitable, although he was initially successful following the rigid Parcells. Wade actually had a legit chance to strike while the iron was hot, but just couldn't cash in.
Anyway, Garrett has really proven to be capable of dealing with/canceling out the "Jerry affect", which is definitely a huge plus for him here.
