Tony Romo had a lot on his plate as the Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback this season. His increased role during weekly game-planning and his ability to change plays at the line of scrimmage gave him more responsibility than most NFL quarterbacks.

With Romo done for the season after undergoing Friday morning back surgery, Kyle Orton steps into the starting QB spot. Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Friday that Orton will not have the same freedom as Romo did when it comes to switching out of plays before the snap.

“He can read it well, he’s got a strong arm and he’s got a lot of experience. From that standpoint, he’ll be very friendly to this offense and this offense will be friendly to him.”

Finally we'll see some deep stuff, I telling ya, I like our chances.

I think we may see more shots down the field.

First play of the game should be play action and a bomb to DEZ. Let them have it from the start. The Eagles secondary is not very good.

Shows how much you know. Jerry always has his headset on so that he can change the play called in the huddle at anytime.

No doubt, if the eagles play press, you see some deep stuff.

Not a real big surprise here........................the guy with the $100 million dollar contract can change the plays at the line...........the backup QB cannot......................not exactly breaking news here, I think we all figured as much.

He likes to sound like a big football guy. Should say zero. If he must he could comment about the game plan AFTER the damn game.

There is truly no productive purpose for Jones to say anything about this.

Either more thought should be given to what he is going to say to the media *and* why, or he simply shouldn't talk to the media as much as he does.

Jerry should not even be commenting on things like this. :(

He just cannot help himself.

It is even to the point where Mike Fisher, who basically is an unpaid minion for Jones, snickers about "Radio Jerry".

But hey, he is just like every other owner. Just a figurehead. Remember that.
