Good piece by JJT. He is absolutely right too. The only way to silence the critics is to prove them wrong by winning in Dec/Jan. Wade's job depends on it and these players need to stand up for him on the field the way he does for them with the press.

So what happens if Wade preps and coaches the team as good as anyone ever possibly could, but they still lose. My guess is that nobody would care, and those same wanting his head would still want it on Monday. There is no perspective. maybe, just maybe it turns out that this team is as good as its record indicates.

That crooked ref is exposing the whole league.U honestly think there is no crookedness in the NFL?

That ref did it for his own greed not for the NBA, do I think there could be refs who are on the take? yes it could happen do I think the NFL knows if a ref in on the take? not unless evidence comes out to show that ref is dirty. They do look into these guys private lives so sooner or later if you are on the take you will get caught. There is a difference between a player or ref who is gambling and a league who is fixed and determining winners.

This is not the week for Terence Newman to let an interception slip through his hands or for Flozell Adams to succumb to his own agenda and start a brawl. This is not the week for Nick Folk to miss a field goal because the hold isn't perfect.

Just win the game. Plain and simple.

So are you saying Wade isn't the problem but the players?

No. I'm saying this team may or may not be playing up to its ability already...in either case, certain people would not care...Wade would still be underperforming in their eyes. The jury is still out for me regarding Wade. I know he is very strong at X and Os, but maybe he is only an average HC. I have not made up my mind yet....others did so long ago.

I wonder if he will have the same tune if say we won 16-14 but played badly. Would the "just get a win" mentality still hold?

God. Nobody in the local media gives a rip that Dennis wasn't questioning Wades 'leadership and approach' this week, do they? They're just going to pretend this whole thing was about something it wasn't and hope the head fake works. And it probably will.
