When looking at players that can transform our team a inside pass rusher like Rankins have to be considered. I personally prefer a trade down if we can stay in top 10 and gain an extra 2nd rounder.

Jack seems undersized to me. Not sure how he is going to handle NFL guards.

As for Bosa, unless he is the next Demarcus Ware, or Von Miller, #4 is too high. From what I have read, he's not a 12-14 a year sack type guy. Solid, but not a game changer.

Hey the guy doesn't intercept the ball. The INT's will start piling up when he plays for this defense! ;)

Oh did I forget to mention Carr hasn't had an int in 2 years??

I'd take the risk of learning to intercept the ball over the chance of a guy learning to make tackles in bunches.
Not sure how I'd feel if we spent 4 on Jack and had 35% the tackles of Sean Lee.
I'd homer out and expect him to improve I am sure but it might also feel very much like Mo... underachieving.

Hardly feels safe forma production stand point.

Bosa is good but he isn't a Ware-type by any means. Is being Mincey really safe or worth top 5?

Safe to me is Andrew Billings. He'll be a front-line DL for 8-10 years. He just may never have high sack totals.

Was Carr's last INT against Pittsburgh in overtime?

With the questions surrounding most of the top tier prospects, I'd favor a trade down staying in the top 10. This is a deep draft but it just doesn't have the elite must have players at the very top. If the draft were this week I'd look at QB or a trade down if we opt not to go the QB route.

I wonder if teams might look at Bosa and project him 20 lbs heavier playing inside. Adding around 7 lbs per year over his first three years is not difficult to imagine. He's not all legs and is built more like a DT than David Irving. LDE is hard to justify at 4, but if he were viewed as a genuinely disruptive interior rusher with length like Hatcher or Calais Campbell, that's an argument I can see.

I'm on the Jack Wagon™ or trade down. I like the film on Spence the most out of any prospect, but it's all about the background check and interviews with him. Definitely not in the Safe Pick category.
