Goff is a better athlete than Wentz? I think you need to go back and watch some games.

Wentz is physically superior to Goff in every single way.

One could argue over who is more ready or has a higher ceiling
But when it comes to athletic ability it's not even close
Wentz is by far a superior athlete
Now that doesn't make you a better QB but it is a fact that will be proven very soon when they go to combine
I personally like the upside of Wentz more but I think Goff because he has more experience is more nfl ready today
But as far as athletic ability I think you need to watch some of Wentz games. He isn't a RGIII athlete but he is far superior athlete to Goff

i really hate every bull**** made up piece of crap idea put out there by media covering their bases with "but this is jones!!!" - he has so seldom done what people say "CRAZY JONES" will do - it's just lazy *** writing and attention getting.

And unfortunately true..

Its difficult to play a sport and in a league where your owner has made so many frequently poor decisions like trading for Joey Galloway to prolong Aikman's career..

Signing TO to prolong Romo's career and drafting guys like our addicted DE and signing guys like nutbar Hardy.

Brilliant business man, notorious owner and GM failure.

Sorry, I have to disagree...hindsight improves a stance after the action was directly related to a specific point in time. That might fall more closely to Happy Hour claim to fame.

Anyway, didn't Aikman lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl in '95 and a world of concussion evidence being missing then?

Yep, they sure don't let facts get in the way of a good story.

Disagree. Sorry.

Better feet, hips and head. Hands down.

I don't base my observations on a highlight reel or stats.

They'll be putting on their big boy pants so that stuff is out the window.

I just see a better player.

Wentz = Weeden 2.0, IMO.

Goff= Steve Walsh 2.0

and for that same reason, after Jimmy Johnson drafted Aikman, and then Steve Walsh (Goff 1.0 v) in the supplemental draft.........Walsh was soon traded to make room for the physically superior player with a higher ceiling.

Just because Jerry likes him doesn't mean Jerry wants to sign him. You can like and admire someone and not think they're a good fit for your team.

There are a lot of women I like and admire I wouldn't marry.

Yeah, I think Jerry is just being nice, because he.s being asked about them and people read WAY to much into it. Jerry is the ultimate salesman, that's just what they do. Why I've never bought he was close to drafting Manziel, regardless of what he says.
It's not like he's just offering the information, he's being asked about them.

With the way the offense and this years QB's performed, I would say Linehan has no clue what type of Qb would perform well in this "system"......

well many posters do it also. propose some crazy *** scheme that is likely even banned on madden and then say "i know it's crazy but this is jones!!!" and i honestly can't think of anything outlandishly crazy he's done since maybe 2 1sts for galloway. other things have been moves and the like, but has he EVER really done any of these crazy things to even earn that rep?

Sure.

TO's signing came when they were trying to elevate Romo after Bledsoe left.

This is when Romo-friendly became a cliche.

TO was not brought in to help TO..it was for Romo.

IF Garrett or Lin had a comparable, I would say they could have this thought or feeling. But other than maybe Kitna and Romo, no one has really been successful in Garrett's offense. So maybe, thinking outside of the box, and having an RG3 might be a decent option.

I was just about to write this...maybe the issue isn't the QBs but JG and Linehans offense where only 1% of QBs...Romo fit. I'm amazed how many teams can function with a backup and adjust yet we stick with the same crap and never wake up that maybe it us, not them.

This post has a distinct lack of Sam Bradford. You really dropped the ball.

It's easy to look back in retrospect and say the bold moves Jerry Jones made haven't won us any Superbowls and the team has been a model of mediocrity for two decades. Looking back and bashing the guy for those moves and calling the guy crazy is just hyperbole. Very very few of those moves cost the team anything in the long run. Jerry is the king of one year prove it deals, such as Hardy's. In the end, these deals are a small blip on the radar and really had no effect.

And seriously, RedBall Express, signing TO to prolong Romo's career? Could you possibly reach more? TO was brought in because he was a phenomenal receiver the team got at a huge discount and his ability helped groom Romo into an elite talent. Signing a tremendous receiver to help your young QB is generally agreed upon to be a good move and when you can get one at a huge discount, its a boon.

Prolong means to extend and generally would be used at the end of a players career, not at the beginning.

TO was the most talented WR at the time and fresh off a SB, including MVP worthy performance. Jerry has never risk adverse when it comes to talented but troubled players.

Galloway was definitely brought in to give Aikman another weapon before his window closed, the TO signing was not for similar reason IMO. Cowboys did not a player of Aikman's pedigree when TO was signed, in fact TO signing improved Cowboys offensive production so much that if weren't for Brady, Moss and Welker's undefeated high octane regular season, Cowboys offense under Romo and TO would have been league best that first season together.
