DMN Newman quote on DC

Cornerback Terence Newman is a fan of Bowles, who joined the Cowboys in 2005 and worked with Parcells with the New York Jets.

"He played in the league, and I think he has an understanding of different things," Newman said. "Instead of running the same thing every week, he knows teams will figure that out and understands you have to change things up."

I don't get this. I really don't. Here we have a HC, and the players, saying "no one knows" why we tanked so bad. Then we've got players saying we were handing the defensive playbook to opposing teams every single week. What gives? How the hell do you lose games to this analogy and throw up your hands, shake your head and say "I don't know". There is no way in hell I'm buying into something so simple to fix yet went left unattended. Complete, utter BS.

PS I danced a jig when I heard the news.
I did the Bruce Willis and told everyone at work I would dance a jig if Zimmer would leave.

Well considering Fergy said some guys on this D arent even aware of down and distance I'm not so sure I wouldnt feel safer just calling the same thing most of the time anyway. ;)

THAT'S what I'm curious about. It was said that the team stayed in its base D because they kept screwing up their assignments when they ventured away from the base D,,,, so, who are the fools that keep screwing it up? and can they be taught or traded??!!
