At 28 I'm not mad at the selection... Interesting to see what this guy said about Dak around this time last year. Bottom line is, you don't know until they actually put the pads on.

That was exactly my reaction to the headline, you could have printed twenty of these articles about Dak Prescott last year if anyone had bothered to write about a 4th round pick. IMO Taco is similar to Frederick, a late first rounder that could be good but might be much better than average.

Yep, time will tell soon because he is going to worked hard by Rod and the Big Cat this offseason and given every opportunity to show what he can do with proper coaching.

The "ESPN Insiders" gave the Cowboys a "C" originally, they upgraded that to an "A" later in the year. They have no idea what they're talking about.

I like this quote from Sando in aprticular...
"No one could have known Prescott would flourish as a rookie fourth-round choice."

ya don't say...

I don't know much about taco besides what I read and see from videos. But is it just me or does he run funky? Thats the 1st thing I noticed from his videos.

That tells me nothing but his opinion. He gives no real basis for the why of it.

And complaining about the one year as starter is pretty shallow. They changed schemes and he is a tweener in a 3-4 front.
Not to mention he played injured almost all of last year.

DC. Is saying D. Ware is working out with Crawford and S. THOMAS. ARE you kidding me? He's a turncoat helping a San Francisco 49ers! He should tell S. THOMAS to find someone else to work out with.

Dont think Greg Hardy in his prime in Carolina was a "bend" DE, to a degree same with JPP, both had just enough of it, to keep the OL off balance and then used power back the other way on a off-balance tackle

As I have said on this board numerous times. Only about a half dozen 4-3 defensive ends had double digit sacks last season. It's easier to find a pro bowl caliber QB than a defensive end with double digit sacks.

If he can get 6-8 sacks per season, he's a stud by today's NFL standards. Everyone seems to love Olivier Vernon but he is a 6-8 sack guy that's solid against the run; that's what we hope for Taco.

For all of the fuss you see on this board about our lack of pressure...we were actually 13th last season with our best pass rusher being injured. If we added another guy that could get a half dozen sacks in a season to our rotation...we would have finished 3rd, tied with the mighty Broncos.

Honestly, l don't expect miracles from any rookie. Lets hope he learns and developes and becomes a decent or better DE. Expecting big numbers from a rookie is unrealistic.

These "analysts" know nothing. Obviously our scouting department and 90% (rough estimate) of the people on these boards know Taco will most likely hit double digit sacks in his rookie year. Line him up against Flowers and he'll ge half way there after our first game.
