Our "focus" has no bearing on anything. It's fine for those who want to discuss this. For those bothered by the topic, they should just stay the hell out of the thread. Easy, really.

It's brought up in a number of threads people need to just let it go!

Feel free to do so. I don't understand why some people feel the need to tell the rest of us what we should or shouldn't want to discuss. If you feel the subject has been beaten to death, then simply don't go into the thread.

The subject has been beaten to death and I will continue to say it's been beaten to death every time it's brought up. No one is telling anyone what to do it's a suggestion.

And plenty will continue to discuss the topic. I will continue to question members who obviously have a sense of self-importance to the point of thinking that they know what the rest of us should or shouldn't discuss, even if it is a "suggestion".

Go find someone else to start an argument with and stop wasting my time! You're just looking to turn this into a personal attack I know your MO.

Only because of a lack of trying, I guess.

Because of a freeze-frame photograph at a certain point in time? Come on, man. That doesn't tell ANYTHING regarding if the ground caused Dez to lose control of the ball.

The ball touched the ground and he lost control. Neither is disputable. That's pretty much the end of it.

The ball was spotted inside the 1-yard line because Dez was ruled down by contact at that point, as the ground can't cause a fumble after the runner is contacted.

That was the end of it, until the Packers threw the challenge flag.

When Jason Garrett was asked about his marriage "We take it one day at a time. We're focused on today."

Wait a second,

Percy, what you're saying is that the "football move" portion is part of the rules again? I thought it was changed to "remain upright long enough". They really flip flopped a second time?

They announced it while you were roasting hot dogs last 4th of July weekend, hoping you wouldn't notice. It worked!

"Upright long enough" stayed in the subsection about receivers going to the ground, but before the rule book even gets to that, it now says (again) that you're a runner if you've got control, two feet, and are capable of "avoiding or warding off impending contact of an opponent, tucking the ball away, turning up field, or taking additional steps." Those are all football moves.

Not sure where you're going with this. Poster said he hadn't seen any evidence of the ball hitting the ground and when provided the evidence he suggested that it not longer mattered if it did hit the ground because it wasn't possible to tell if the ground caused him to lose the ball.

lol, what?

You can't agree to disagree on facts any more than you can on simple addition.

1 + 1 = 2

Nah, agree to disagree.
No, I actually can. You can't tell me to think or have an opinion one way or another. This is an online forum with football opinions, so breaking news on your part apparently. Good day.

A game never comes down to one play
I've heard this comment from many people, but IMO it's just a cliche and a superficial way to dismiss the point. Games are composed of many plays, the team that makes the most plays win, and so if the team that made one more play than the other team to put them on top has it unfairly taken away from them not due to actual play on the field, then yes, the game did come down to that one play.
