Officials with Omni Hotels, the City of Frisco and Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, will give an update this afternoon on The Star complex in Frisco, that will include the new Omni Frisco Hotel.

We got a sneak peak at the artist’s rendering for the 17-floor, 300-room hotel that is expected to open in the summer of 2017.

Tuesday’s event will include updates from Jones, Frisco Mayor Maher Maso, and Bob Rowling, owner and chairman of TRT Holdings Inc. and Omni Hotels & Resorts.

Omni, which operates the Dallas-owned Omni Dallas Hotel, has released few details on the new Frisco property.
