Tim MacMahon

Bill Parcells started with the Cowboys' front office, wooing personnel executives Jeff Ireland and Brian Gaine to Miami. Then he took what he wanted from the coaching staff, hiring Tony Sparano as the Dolphins' head coach and Todd Bowles, Paul Pasqualoni and Kacy Rodgers as assistants.

Now, it's on to the roster. The Tuna's efforts to trick Jerry into trading Marion "The Barbarian" Barber have been well chronicled. Don't be surprised if the Dolphins go after a couple more Cowboys' Pro Bowlers during free agency.

Miami is in the market for a free safety. Ken Hamlin wants a big contract after playing for the relative bargain price of $2 million and change last season. Hamlin also has a ton of respect for Bowles.

LT Flozell Adams is a Sparano guy, so it wouldn't be stunning if he decided to rejoin his O-line coach in Miami.

Unless Miami throws a bucket full of money at Hamlin i don't see why he would pass on the opportunity to play for a team with a great chance of playing in the SB in the near future. For a chance to play for the Fins?

Another ******** article..

Last time I checked, Hamlin got what he was worth in the open market. People were afraid to take a risk on him, and Dallas was not. It had nothing to do with Hamlin getting chump-change. If anything, Dallas took a risk on him, not the other way around.

Hamlin coming to the Cowboys had absolutely nothing to do with Bowles. The only reason Hamlin knows Bowles is because Bowles was the secondary coach when he was with the Cowboys.

And how is Flozell Adams a Sparano guy?

I think Miami goes after Keith Davis, Jacques Reeves, and Flozell. Flo will come down to what we've all been saying. If Dallas pays him, he stays. If not, he just might follow Tony.

If that happens, consider this years free agency a success for the Dallas Cowboys, and a failure for the Dolphins...

Parcells "got the coaches he wanted"... Yeah, the ones who weren't under contract any longer.

And he didn't get "the best strength coach he ever had", did he? And that's after telling Jerry that the strength coach was the most important guy on his staff.

We can franchise Flo if we really want to.

And "efforts into tricking Jerry into trading Barber"? Please, Timmy. This is stupid even for you.

So for Flozel, it will be all about the money. He'd rather get a huge payday in Miami but never play in a SB then take less for a good chance of winning a SB with the Cowboys who already have a QB, a good OL, a good WR & some good defensive players.

Well, Flo did say he would prefer to remain with Dallas.

But we'll have to see what type of offer JJ makes.

And I really don't remember BP overpaying for FAs. He was typically looking for value for money types.

If we don't re-sign Flo then yes, I could see him resurface in Miami.

But if Hamlin is smart he should know that his best chance to win is with us, not Miami.

Here's what I think! I want the blonde lady in front of him!!:

I wouldn't get worked up about Tim McMahon. I've seen more intelligent writing in this forum or even by Jim McMahon. And that's saying something.

Mort was just on 103.3 and he bristled at the idea that he reported that Parcells and Jerry have talked. He insisted that they have not.

He said he simply has sources in Valley Ranch that confirm that Jerry has considered the idea of going for McFadden, and knows that Barber would have to be included in an offer like that. He said Parcells has not asked for or insisted on Barber, because they haven't talked about a trade.

He said he expects that Jerry would talk to the Miami people at some point just to see what kind of interest there's be in a deal, but that hasn't happened.

Even Galloway had to admit, "Well that kills a lot of the speculation we were having earlier in the week."

Yeah, who is that blonde. Yowzers.

Tim M. just isn't a very interesting writer. I miss Mosely.
