Thats when you know you're a real fan. When you have season tickets even though means driving 5 hours each time.

...at least I believe I remember you having season tickets.
He only lives 4 hours from the stadium.

If I'm reading his post right, he should get there at about 5p. Still plenty of time.

i'm going to six flags next saturday before the game and staying at a nearby hotel.

is six flags close enough to walk to the stadium?

if not, anyone know of a good taxi service in the area? I feel like this will better than parking.

Getting to the stadium, and parking for me was NOT bad at all. I left work at 4:00pm in downtown Dallas, picked up my sister from work, and then picked up a friend at his work at 183 & 360, around 5pm. We drove to the stadium going down 157, which turns into Collins, and had to make a detour over to Cooper street (due to construction), and turned on E. Division street which took us right to our paking lot (lot 14, silver). We were in the stadium by 5:30 - 5:45 ish, and had plenty of time to look around, and watch warmups, etc.

We left a few minutes after the game ended, and got in my truck, drove straight out East Division to 360. 360 was crowded but traffic flowed pretty well with the exception of people trying to exit a mile or so north. I was home in no time.

It was a piece of cake for me, too. I was coming from the northwest and could've come in on I-30, but I chose to come in on 360 and exit on Six Flags road for easier access to the cheaper cash lots on the east side of Rangers ballpark. I parked at a small business across from Six Flags with only about 25 parking places for $20. (I'd rather walk longer and be closer to the highway than spend all my time in a traffic jam on the way out.) Turns out I didn't have to park quite that far away, as there were plenty of sparsely-populated lots on the walk back to my car. But it still worked out very well.

Overall, I was very happy. What little traffic I encountered on the way in wouldn't even have been there if it hadn't been Friday afternoon, and of course we'll never play real games then.

I echo the sentiment. I left at 4 from Fort Worth. Pulled in at the stadium lot I had a sticker for at about 4:45. About the right amount of time to go from my house to the ballpark.
