Incredible.

So many of the Internet GM's on this board declared with complete certainty that Weeden was worthless and that we were the only team dumb enough to employ him.

Yet when we release him he's claimed almost immediately.

Guess our FO isn't the only one that thinks he has an NFL arm.

But keep in mind that there other factors involved as well. Hoyer, the Texans' starting QB, just suffered a concussion and may not be available this week.

Also, the Colts are without Luck, their starting QB for the next several weeks.

The Texans could need a QB in a pinch, or they may simply be blocking the Colts, a team they're competing with in the division, from acquiring anyone to help with their issues.

Good for him. I hate how we handled him.

We have him take first team reps for two years, then pull the plug on him after 3 weeks when he has no one to throw the ball downfield to, and chose to go with a guy who had been with the team less than a month.

Just putrid decisions all around. The coaching staff should have either stuck it out with him, or known what he was capable of after seeing him in practice for 2 years.

I for one don't think he was near as bad as everyone was making him out to be. He had no one to throw the ball to downfield. No one.

Has nothing to do with how the Cowboys handled him. He's not a good QB.
