Revis has really made a late push to ovetake hall, I think he has done so on at least some teams boards, and we know it only takes one team to make him the first corner taken.

Can't wait to see how this plays out. I believe Griffin will be taken between the 22nd - 32nd pick of the 1st round. I think he's more of a 1st rounder than Aaron Ross and Ross will be a 1st rounder; strange days indeed....

I don't think Griffin or Ross are worth a first round pick.

Well, I think what Goose was (in short) saying,
is that Griffin would make an immediate impact on Special teams,
and he'd probably be our best option at FS, before seasons end...
We need to get better at this position...
Griffin wouldn't be my first choice for this pick, but I could live with it...

Tampa Bay would be stupid to draft a RB after they got Cadillac Williams a few years ago.

This mock blows!

His logic for the pick is that he's the best special teamer on the board?

22. Dallas Michael Griffin S Texas COMMENT: Best special-teamer in the draft

25. N.Y. Jets Aaron Ross CB Texas COMMENT: Can't have enough ballhawks in the AFC

If you think Griffin is a better safety than Ross, then ok. But to list Grffin's ST ability and then list Ross's ballhawk capabilities, it makes the Griffin choice a joke.

So I guess Chris Houston fell out the first and Dwayne Jarrett

That is a possibility. If Jarrett gets by Denver he may fall all the way. Houston I'm not so sure about. His measurables are too hypnotic I think. Some one will fall for him.

Doesn't Goose release several variations of his mock leading up to the draft? Doesn't he usually release his "real" version right before the draft?

If it must be a safety, I'd rather roll the dice with Meriweather.

Goose's final mock will be much better. he seems to know what the Boys will do & doesn't give it away until right before the draft. Stay tuned.

Yes that is correct.

I am hoping beyond hope that we get someone else.

I don't see why TB would take Peterson myself and give up on Caddy after two years.

Then again, I think the draft will ultimately go different than this.

The Peterson pick isn't as strange as you would think. Dallas is an example of the NFL's new trend of needing two backs to be successful running the football in this league. Of course there are exceptions such as Larry Johnson but remember that Priest Holmes was all-world at the time the Chiefs spent a 1st on Johnson. It worked well for them since Priest ended up getting injured and Johnson became all-everything. New Orleans did it last year with Deuce and Bush.

If Tampa were to take Peterson they would have one of the best 1-2 combos I've seen in years. Their combo would be light years better than the one the Cowboys have currently because in all honesty their backup would be a starter in Dallas. I think the pick wouldn't be too bad at all.

Cadillac Williams has been disappointing. Nagging injuries have slowed him down. And last year, he wasn't very productive: 3.5 yards per carry, only 1 touchdown.

In his defense, his OL stinks. But can't blame Tampa Bay for considering other backs.

If I were a Bucs fan, I'd be concerned with drafting an RB with injury issues to go along with Cadillac Williams. I'd try to trade back a bit. Seems likely that some team would be willing to pay a premium for the opportunity to draft Peterson.

Maybe Goose hasn't heard that Parcells is gone...."special teamer"?

I thought everything I'd read on safeties this year indicates Griffin is more of a run support, tackler type...do we need another of those?

Nelson is the true cover type FS of the bunch.

Personally, I see us going CB in round 1.
