lol... I'm not shocked that we actually have fans that would want ANOTHER scrub RB on our team.

I dont mind a guy like Green if he isnt gonna slam the door on aquiring a true starter later.

At this stage in his career he is a niche player like the other backs on the roster. Difference is he covers a niche we dont have

Not interested at all. Any back Dallas acquires had better be able to be a solid number one or be able to do more than Greene offers to make it worth the bother. It is a bit late in the game to think that anyone available right now will be better than what we felt it was okay to ignore the position in the draft.

You don't think that there will be any RBs availsble after the roster cuts that could provide some fresh legs and health to the RB position?

Say you have Randle, Green and McFadden. A COP, a power runner and a 3rd down back. You aquire a starter via trade at some point in preseason. One becomes expendable. Which one depends on who you add

Say for instance you pick up a Lamar Miller. You dont really have a need for a power runner and Green is gone. Now lets say you pick up a Gio Bernard. You dont need a 3rd down back anymore and McFadden is expendable

Can't imagine why'd they consider Green.
If they did, he'd be the 3rd or 4th option if he made the team at all.

Wish people would stop with the world is ending bs. I remember last year most of you guys was saying how we are garbage and would be lucky to get 3-5 wins, we lost every preseason game and it got worst.

Recall that very well.
Just couldn't understand why so many were saying that when they had multiple legit reasons to think the team should be better than the 8 win team they just had.
Oh well...old news.

Unless a team is going to take 6th or 7th for their starting running back I see no reason to trade high round draft picks even for AP. AP is old and maybe has 3 years of good to decent productivity. Miller hints of potential but always a let down when when he is the guy, hence why i think Miami is trying to trade him when his stock is the highest. If someone was to part with RB montee ball was pretty high draft pick and only what 3rd year int he league this year.

Only thing Greene does for this team is stop the progress of Randle. Unless a true feature back becomes available, I say let's see what Randle can do getting close to 20 carries a game.

Most would be aboard with young guns Ball or Miller, but it's hard to rationalize vets like Green or CJ2K with McFadden already here.

And we continue talking about scrubs.

Heel mein words: we will roux the day we let our 1,800-yard rusher go.
As good as our offense be we still need the ground game. That is a fact of life. If we half to abandon the ground game and go aerial, the opposing linebackers will be free to wreck havoc on the mid-field zone and our corners will be double teamed. then, in December, we be at 9-7, hoping for a wild card.
I cannot stress the loss we half incured without Murray. But that is spilt milk under the bridge of yesterday when all our troubles seemed so far away. Now it looks as if their hear to stay.

Go ahead, let us discuss ever scrub who is leafing a team. Let us disucss Randle and McFadden and the other midgets. I am blinded by tears of a clown and I wish Jerra had a backup plan to rb.

I think Jerrah does have a backup plan.

It's called an All Pro OL at maybe 4 positions with Collins.

I think we have to see what happens there before we bring in anybody else.

I think we will be fine.

It's the defense that I'm more concerned about..

with so many new faces and some not sure when some of them are going to play like a Hardy and RO and Claiborne/Carr and Lee's history.

We'll see.

I actually think Randle is going to really surprise some people. If he stays healthy, I think he is going to be more than fine.

I have said it before. I think the combination of McRandle will be fine for us assuming health...not a sure thing, but I think the RB's in the stable can carry the load

I am not too interested in Greene, but do not dismiss him because of his stats. Remember where he came from and what he had around him. With both teams, the QB play was downright pitiful, not a threat at all to beat your defense. With the Jets, the receiving corp. was mediocre at best. Also, the OL was decent, but aging. In Tennessee, there were better WRs, but the OL wasn't as good as NY.

It would be interesting to see Greene behind a quality OL and with a quality QB. I am not saying he would be a world beater, but I am sure he could give you a solid complimentary running game to go with your QB play.

Just another thread pointing to the concern everyone has with the Cowboys RB situation.
