INDIANAPOLIS – Sean Lee’s rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee is ahead of schedule, Cowboys chief operating officer Stephen Jones said Wednesday. The 28-year-old middle linebacker is expected to be a full participant in April’s off-season program.

After Lee suffered his injury during organized team activities, the Cowboys traded for middle linebacker Rolando McClain. The former first-round pick made a significant impact when healthy, finishing second on the team in tackles. Jones said the Cowboys are “very interested” in re-signing McClain.

His return would likely force Lee to move to an outside linebacker position.

“Sean can play any of the spots,” Garrett said. “We will try to figure out who is on the roster, talking about some of these free-agent decisions. Hopefully we can get our guys back and we’ll decide where those guys go to help our football team.

False..luke Kuechly, Patrick Willis, lawrence Timmons and a few other MLBers are about his size.. They seem to be holding up well.. His size is not an issue. Not everyone can be Brian urlacher or rolando McClain..

Do we have to be so negative in EVERY Sean Lee thread?

Like how original are you mr. poster who talks about him getting injured again?!?!

Here's hoping to a speedy recover and long health Sean.

You deserve it.

Indeed, it's getting very old. Watch him play all 16 games as an all pro. Expect the unexpected in the NFL.

Every one hopes your right. Just hard to imagine. We can't keep his spot forever hoping next year he plays a full season or close to it.

You need 6-7 LBers so he gets to compete. Most injuries result in lost games not seasons.

Oh joy Glass Lee is ahead of schedule... Claiborne is a waste of a roster spot.

Many LBers get injured and players are less likely to see the field when injured enough these days. Players just don't play injured like yesteryear.

I get it but the love affair with Lee has me scratching my head. He's injured more than he plays it seems. Hard to build on things when you keep that spot open for a maybe he will stay healthy.

Sean could really help this Defense. He was dominating before he got hurt. Move him to WLB and he may take less of a pounding. That is why getting McClain or Durant signed is important. I think Hitchens can handle SLB so a line-up of:

Hitchens-McClain-Lee

Durant, Wilber, Draft as backups
