Cowboys LB Sean Lee on team's December woes: "We need to win We haven't gotten it done."

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee appeared Friday on KRLD-FM to talk about his return from injury and the Cowboys' game against the Chicago Bears this week. Here are some highlights.

On how he feels coming back from injury to face the Chicago Bears this week:

“I feel really good. It’s been tough. I’ve been lucky to have a bye week. I’ve been out for about four weeks, but I’ve only missed two games, and I’ve put a lot of hard work into trying to get back and try and miss as few games as possible … This was a game I was looking forward to getting back to and playing.”

On comments from former Cowboys players that playing in Dallas was too “Hollywood”:

I agree with Lee's comment but didn't he imply you have to "overcome" something here in that he acknowledges it can be a distraction to some? He's saying "it" shouldn't bother you, not that "it", or the "atmosphere" doesn't exist? So, he and a handful of players are above it, doesn't say the atmosphere is ideal. He says the same tools are here if you can overcome the other things being staples (JJ/Hollywood) in the organization.

If we had 53 guys that approached the game of football every week like Sean Lee, Hollywood or not we would always be competing for championships.

Then there are the weak minded players.....

I think Sean Lee is a very good player but 53 "China Dolls" is not what this Team needs. It needs 53 Tough Guys who do not talk to media and just play "Football". Talk on the Football field not in the Locker Room.

Of course it's there. It's always been there. Listen to old Cowboys like Pearson and TD talk about how life was in Dallas. It's always been that way.

The difference is those guys, like Irvin and others, and like Lee is talking about here were able to focus on football anyway, when they were supposed to, and not let it be a distraction for them.

Guys like Ratliff and Bennett apparently are not able to do that. That's on them. You have to rid yourself of as many of those types as possible.

Last I checked Lee backs his talk with his production on the field. He is arguably the best mlb in the nfl. I agree he needs to stay healthy however but that seems to be asking alot these days.
