I would understand if he was having back problems again, but collarbones are freak injuries, just bad luck this season.

It happened before. He will be 36 before another meaningful snap and likely to take the same pounding he does every game. If you haven't noticed our pass protection and gameplanning sets him up to get killed.

I love Tony and have always believed in him, but it's not about believing in HIM anymore it's that this whole team will not be SB contenders for years again. Tonight I accepted once and for all it is never going to happen for Romo as far as Super Bowl or a nice ending to his career like that. You're not there yet and I envy you. For me it has become apparent that robbery in Lambeau last year will forever sting as Romo and Witten's best chance stolen away.

Are we looking for a full time replacement or a most of the season sub.

Romo is eating a lot of resources so we have to get cheap and lucky.

Sign on those 3 and draft someone early. I like Dak Prescott.

Rather get a high end backup, people here are really underrating how good Romo is and overrating how good any drafted QB might be, have to realize Romo is a generational talent.

I don't see anyone underrating how good Romo is. What I see is fans correctly projecting concern Romo can be injury free in future. Dallas has to have major plan going forward that will deal with reality of aging Tony Romo.

Agree. The organization must consider the fact that we probably will never draft this high again for a long time. It's one thing not to think QB is a priority whey you drafting middle to late but when you have a top ten pick it sure as hell better be on your radar.

Agreed. And if we are lucky, we have a year or two to develop someone.

I think they still have 1 more year tbh, though Witten has really declined this season.

If they have a top 10 draft pick they need to seriously consider a QB. If they end up sitting for a year or two so be it. Thinking about these premium picks and positions of need there are very few positions I would want to consider in the top 10 outside of qb. LB and de would have to be a consideration as well. RB, S, WR could be targets in trade down scenerios.

Future quarterback plan? More like a present quarterback plan.

LB and RB in the first two rounds, with the player determined by the draft board. Maybe a WR. QB in the 3rd or 4th round.

Weak QB class, the college game is not producing very many good NFL QBs. Carr, Bridgewater. Even Luck is struggling and Johnny and RG III are about out of the league

I like to think that we're in the unique position of being a playoff football team who picks in the top-ten because of injuries and suspensions. Draft an impact rookie or two, and we're a contender. If Goff is there when we're up, though, I'd have a real hard time hoping Jerry & Co. pass on him (I like Goff more than Lynch).

Maybe Jerry really is brilliant in football matters.:D

It's time to draft a franchise QB... #9 has been outstanding over the years but his era is coming to a quick end.

Romo's era is coming to end by his own failure to protect himself by throwing the ball away. Trying to hard to make plays has come back to haunt him. Great heart and hell of a competitor but he is not 21yrs old anymore

Well you obviously weren't in the game thread then. Go take a look there and tell me you don't see anyone under rating him. It's like someone turned the lights out and the infestation scurried out from under the kitchen appliances.
