What I meant was that it was not the simplicity of the defense that caused the missed tackles or lost games. For all the progress that was made by the simplicity ( sacks etc ) it was all wiped out by those two plays.

IMO , Had we won that game, none of this would be an issue right now.

And I agree, had we won the game and made the playoffs (and won a game in the playoffs) this would all be a non-issue right now.

The biggest improvements that need to be made IMO are eliminating errors by both players and coaches.

You can't force your qb to throw into 30pmh winds ,up by two scores against the #1 defense, knowing that is the only way they can come back. At the same time our qb has to know if our defense is playing well, as they were in that game, to throw it away and let them win the game.

There were a number of errors and late adjustments that had me scratching my head but I feel we are very, very close.
