The only problem with the draft show is Norm announces the pick before they show it on TV. Frustrating, but still love it.

Norm on the draft show is the best thing ever, i always end up following the draft on the ticket

its funny, only a couple years ago i use to listen and watch exclusively through espn ..... nowadays i have the tv set to NFL network and internet to Ticket. I don't know what i would do without that setup now lol. I really can't stand ESPN's coverage of it anymore. Maybe I am just tired of Boomer.

I thought last year they did away with announcing the pik before it was announced on TV.

For years and years I've watched the draft with the TV muted and listened to Norm. There is a night and day difference in the information you get. Just the fact the radio coverage is Cowboy based is sweet. I like Mayock so I'll turn up the volumn when he talks Cowboys but that's about it. I have not had any use for Boomer since forever.

This is pretty much what I been doing also. Plus they will get interviews with the players selected by the Cowboys. I'll turn on the TV volume when they are taking Cowboys and are on the clock.
The first 2 rounds anyway. Day 3 of TV coverage is a joke. They get about 8 picks behind because they are talking nonsense or talking RG3 crap.

I guess I'll be the fall guy here. While he's okay on the draft show I cannot stand Norm on the post game show during the Cowboys season. The reason why is that he tends to zero in on things that do not matter when callers call in because of:

1) Norm is seemingly incapable of realizing that callers may be really frustrated when they call in just after a loss. They just want to vent a little.

2) Norm can't see the forest for the trees like a lot of OCD stats geeks.

I will turn the damn show off when he zeroes in on some completely unimportant rant or numbers mistake by a caller, and just goes on and on about it. It's like just move the hell on to the next topic or caller this is boring the hell out of me.

Donovan is great, and I would like it if Rhyner or Sturm took Norm's spot on Cowboys post game shows.

Every time I try the TV while listening to the radio, I get the delay ... you know, it happens on TV before it happens on radio. I can't take it. I wish I could figure out how to get the two in sync.

I agree with you about Norm. I think Donovan balances it all out. I also agree that the show is mainly for the fans to vent but Norm sometimes loses that premise. He also seems to be venting too. I tend to flip between him and 105.3 ... whomever is saying what I want to hear (LOL).

Compared to most radio jocks out there, Norm's contributions are good.

But, and this is no exaggeration, he may have the most annoying radio voice I've ever heard.

Good for him though.

I love Norm but if I hear him call the "NBA" the "NFL" one more time as he gets easily confused by player names and acronyms I'm gonna go nuts lol.

It's ironic, given how much Norm absolutely hated The Ticket in its early years, that this is his longest stay in his career.

The guys that get paid enormously are Craig, George, Mike, and Gordon. They are the founders. Greggo's addictions took him from that list.

Norm is a local institution, which is why he's getting paid so handsomely.

Not sure about Bob and Dan, although they did have a contentious negotiation that almost had them landing at The Fan.

LOL

I like how he gets so excited you can hear him breathing heavy and pretty much a step away from drooling all over the mic.
